NOTES FOR AMD FSR3.1 Frame Gen: - Official AMD FSR3.1 Frame Generation is implemented very well like in other Sony titles. - It feels so silky smooth and decent. - No ghosting, flickering or other annoying disturbance. - Almost no additional input lag when you get over 100 FPS with FSR3.1 FG enabled. - It's a must on my end especially when it comes to high refresh rate experience, FSR3.1 FG is already meant to be used that way. NOTES FOR VRAM UTILIZATION: -Game seems very VRAM demanding - I have played more than 30 minutes before recording so that you can clearly see the exact GPU VRAM utilization for this game, don't fall for some other videos who shows lower than this when it comes to 1080p Ultra Textures. - VRAM usage starts around 6GB in the first minutes and increasing up to 9GB after many hours of gameplay.

For rtx 4060 users it just uses 6gb in demanding areas in ulta settings plus fg any ideas why?

@@ashwanthbrice2981 In those videos people just only played 2 or 5 minutes, I doubt if performance would be really slowed down or causes crashes for 4060 after many hours of gameplay because of lack of VRAM, you can also check out their main system RAM usage and it's literally insane like up to 13-14 GB even in a few minutes. Forget about the 4060 already if you don't have, let's enjoy with our 3060 12GB 😎👍🏻

Recorded with NVIDIA APP and it impacted the entire performance like 3-4 FPS during the test. Resizable BAR is enabled.

This is so weird. I checked bunch of videos. Usually they get low VRAM usage and higher RAM usage but yours behave so differently. I guess that's the reason for the microstuttering or the thicc frametime graph because the things that need to be on the VRAM now are put on RAM so it don't need much swapping or it strictly relying on the VRAM usage indicator. It seems like the usage was very similar on yours between snowy and island areas, only fps that changed. It's crazy that the game could go over 9GB if no restriction to it. Do we still need the optimized settings for this game though? I still think we need because the Ultra settings in this game got abused and Low settings still look decent actually. Not even the textures look bad on Low. Quite impressive with what I have seen, I thought it going to look plasticky like in Forbidden West for example. And so is the lower VRAM usage. Feels like the graphics settings was a scam in this title. It make fool of people that think playing on Ultra would give the best graphics when it's not always. Maybe progress more into the settlement or cavern areas and see if the performance stay the same. Otherwise this is going to be very intensive for native res. I think the purpley forest areas were more intensive, don't you think? The part before you enter the portal entrance and get to this island. To me that area dropped my fps the most so far but dozen matter much because no combats happening there luckily. From 60 to 30 fps, what is the actual hell. Even 3600X is bottlenecking the 1660 Ti lamo and so is my 5600H. That's insane on the CPU side of thing. They really need to fix it as soon as possible. For now the workaround for that is to just lock the fps until things got ironed out. That's an option too. Even PS4 runs on 1080p 30 fps lamo and this is a PS4 game initially. Do you think it should run better on PC or this is already enough and satisfactory to you? Wouldn't the graphics look similar to GoW 2018 though? And that game could run on native if I remember correctly. This is not a guess anymore but instead a fact, newer titles often demand more VRAM and faster CPU, sometimes for no good reason. But hey at least the game is vibrant looking and I like that. I just wish to enjoy the scenery a bit but this is very linear title. Not that you can travel and stop for a while to take a photo outta game and consider yourself an in-game artist. I saw few of them before, outstanding works. We need even more Sony titles to be ported to PC and I wish they don't screw up Last of Us Part 2. Will it ever come or no? There are many good titles on PS4 that need to be relived on PC. Maybe they ported this game with PS4 in mind and PS4 is like 8GB. So that makes sense why 8GB is like the safest bet for being comfortable instead of 6GB. 6GB is the bare minimum to run this game baidewei. Also you can exploit that and download a 4090 to run on 4GB VRAM. And also I noticed that you can't skip the cinematics in this game. Why, why they did that? 18 hours is like too long for me to beat. At least include the fast forward feature or something. They also lying about the storage requirements. The final size is only 166GB lamo, nowhere near 190GB like rumored. But still bigger than Forbidden West. That's crazy and mind blowing thing I have seen this year. Maybe it's normal for Call of Duty or something but this is too big for such game. Now that I have seen it, what else to say? By the time I'm recording it, I already saw Mixed reviews on Steam lamo. Prolly because of the PSN stuff that I'm too PSD to understand. 🙂

This even happens for me too! The games uses 9gb vram on my RTX 3060 1080p ultra settings with fg on but it uses on 6gb on RTX 4060 1080p ultra settings with fg on.

It might not be actually weird Jakiy, I dunno because in those videos people just only played/tested 2 or 5 minutes, I doubt if performance would be really slowed down or causes crashes for 2070/2070 Super/3060Ti/4060 or 8GB 4060 Ti models after many hours of gameplay because of lack of VRAM, you can also check out their main system RAM usages in the benchmarks and it's literally insane like up to 13-14 GB even in a few minutes of gameplay so game seems very VRAM demanding in Ultra Textures, I think High or Med Textures could be more suitable way to go for lower VRAM models of GPUs. As for the purple forest realm area, yeah that location is pretty intensive in terms of frame rates and I have tested that area in my new video :) You can watch it now: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJuXlauZiraWjdU Game size is definetly ridicilously higher than I expected, I have not seen any extreme differences compared to GOW 2018 and that game only occupies 65GB of disk space.
