Thor destroyed him, Thor killed him with one hit and ressurected him just to keep playing with him. Thor is the only God to actually kill Kratos in a straight up fight. He was far more powerful than Kratos. When Kratos doesn’t have luck or huge help from his allies he is easy to kill. Thor showed that. Plus, Kratos would have been killed easily by Thor in the second fight if it wasn’t for Thor being exhausted from fighting the world serpent. Kratos can’t defeat any major character in a straight up fight, he gets destroyed easily unless he is super lucky or if the enemy is at a massive disadvantage. Faye almost killed him in their first fight, Freya destroyed him in Midguard, Thor killed him with one hit and Odin would have killed him in seconds if it wasn’t for Freya saving him at the end just after the Thor fight.
