Tbh this area saved the main vanaheim region and then some. The backtracking and traversal in that area was a pain imo. This area is very cool and a joy to play through. I'm surprised because there is probably like five hours of content alone in the crater

@@brianmannion7097 I was so excited for this realm but you are correct. It’s a pain to back track. I absolutely hated the abandoned village. I had to load a old save and lost everything from there because I could not get out. The crater is fantastic. I wish there was more areas like this.

Bro this optional Vanaheim area is crazy! Just when I think I'm done with it I find a whole new section of it. Definitely worth while for all the weapon upgrades and the shards for max level armour tho.

I had no idea that you could do some side missions with EITHER Freya or Atreus as your companion, and you get different dialogue depending on who your companion is! That certainly is a nice touch.

Casualties of War: The toy It can only be completed after you defeated the Dragon. Didn't know until I did. So if the spirit ain't popping out, it's because you haven't killed the Dragon yet.

I got a bug where the nokken connected with an ogre was unkillable(can't hit the nokken, it had no health bar) so I had to stun grab the ogre multiple times so I can knock the unkillable nokken off the ledge... and thank god it worked, I finally got to the dragon quest, I was there for hours

You have to find the "core plant" and put the pink arrow spell from atreus or faye on it and burn in with ur chaos blades

For anyone trying to figure this out, you need to freeze that toxic column spreading purple haze. And then stand next to it and look down into the canyon. You will see a round purple thing. Shoot the purple arrows to create several big spheres so you can reach it (aim and press square) and then light it up using chaos blades.

If the issue is the gate not raising high enough from hitting the board, turn off high frame rate mode in settings, it will go higher and allow more room for them to enter. That was my issue at least.
