I had two dogs, one lived with my dad passed away in the beginning of 2022 due to old age, and then My moms dog passed before I got Ragnarok, she passed of a mix of old age and bone cancer, seeing this scene made me cry for a good couple minutes. I miss both of them, but I know they’ll both be with me forever in my heart. Dads dog: Patch, Shetland sheepdog, 14 Moms dog: Leela, German Rottweiler, 13 Loved’em both and spoiled them to the core.

When I first started playing God of War Ragnarok in November, I didn’t expect to start off the game at midnight crying. It hit me really hard when I had to see Atreus’s cling to Fenrir’s dying body, as you could see him wanting Fenrir not to die yet. The wolf was however old and tired, and it was evident that his time was up. “Death is a natural part of life”, as Faye told Kratos in the past. I.m a cat owner, and I’ve had to say goodbye to my oldest cat when they were getting old and too tired to live. Santa Monica Studio really nailed this scene. I believe a lot of pet owners could see themselves in this scenario. It’s hard to say goodbye to the ones you love.

My cat passed away yesterday. Due to his health problems, the vet told us they had to proceed with an euthanasia. He lived with FIV and FeLV for almost 2 years, and he sometimes spent more time at the vet than at home. This game came out when he was on a critical state, but he managed to get better. Now, after his death, I'm here listening to this, while having flashbacks of the great moments we spent together.
