They have a relic or perk o forget that does lifesteal too its good especially mixed with that glyph with the axe and the spear is really good with the right bulid the blades are king no quesruon but dont sleep on the spear the elemental throw perk os pretty good especially is you get ice and bi frost

You can parry red rings with Blade of Olympus for Minotaurs

How do you jump forward like that and cancel melee swing allowing you to move fast.

Hold forward, press X, L3, and R1 (do it at a good speed) for the jump. You can cancel a lot of animations by pressing the block button L1. You can use this also to throw the spear really fast when you have the shatter shield ( doesn't work with all shields, only some of them).

@@jcollins111111Not sure if you’ve figured it out yet, but it probably could be a settings issue. Have sprint on L3. I’m sure you know how to do the running attacks. Try it with the axe first since its easier. When you dodge, press L3 forward and light attack. Everyone has their controls set differently, but most have it as this: X (any direction), forward L3, R1 then repeat since Dodge will cancel most animations. Do it slowly and then pick up the speed once you get the timing. It’s very easy. I don’t do animation cancels and I learned this pretty quickly. It also helps with doing running attacks out of a dodge. It allows you to dodge in any direction and immediately do a sprinting attack. It’s why you see gbg dodge backwards and then do a running attack forward with the blade or spear or shield. It looks really cool doing it with a spear. It’s my favorite to dodge backwards and then immediately doing a hoplite lunge.
