Simple: gameplay of og. ones are better + there is not a lot of hack/slash games now days + it's easy money for SONY after their sh**y "Concord" flop... Personally I hopping only to adding more story; some lost levels; new costumes and being for PS5 - 4K/60fps at least... the hardest ones to remastered will be the PSP ones (and the most important one for the story is GoW:GoS - all Kratos familly explained in that one)... It's a finally good move for pp that only somehow know Kratos from Norse Saga (becouse to play old ones you needed PS Plus - which is sh**; have ps3 and play them; or "illegal" way of emulating)... if they would do REMAKE: there is one guaranties then: they will not done then hack/slash game; they would censure a lot of stuff; they probably add some "woke" BS; add PG to 12 or something; they would be "careful" not to offend anyone (avoid racisms characters; some girls will be like: why some characters are naked - feminism riot probably then) - which would be BS... with Remastered hopping at least they will not doing that; and be faithful to og. Greek era hehe

People are clearly failing to realize that a remaster alone is enough to be considered a remake. We're talking ps2 and ps3 games making a 2-3 gen jump. Horizon zero dawn's remaster alone from ps4 to ps5 is a huge jump in graphics and performance. People out here thinking they're gonna take the fluffy old graphics and simply sharpen the rough edges on models and environment. To think that they'll only bump it to gow 3 graphics at most is a huge underestimation. One person alone was able to make gow 2's intro look massively better *alone* with blender using more recent models.

Plus the older games aren’t available on newer consoles so having those games available to play with updated graphics and a few QOL updates would be great. It’ll be good for the people who started on God of War 2018 and never experienced those games. It’s the accessibility, not everyone owns a ps3 to play those games so I reckon they just need to update the graphics and a few of quality of life updates like I said before. The *‘God of War collection’* is a remastering of GOW 1 and 2, while the *‘Origins Collection’* is a remastering of Chains of Olympus, and Ghost of Sparta. Both collections are on the PS3. Games don’t have to have the word ‘remastered’ in the title in order for them to be a remaster. I will say though, that they are stuck on really old hardware that not everybody may have access to, so unless one doesn’t mind streaming it on a PS4 or 5, then they are out of luck.

Sony wanted to change things up because ascension didn't do as good as gow3...because it was a trash game.. And how you going to make a gow game with kratos only in half of the game ? Loki is cool and all, but not the reason why to play gow. He was handle pretty well in the ps4 original remake....but too much focus in Ragnarok. You could still tell loki story without him taking the spotlight from kratos. Kratos is emotionally weak ....deals with non stop regret, sony even took away the females....old.skool kratos gets the women. New skool....gets his palms and lotions

And every single one of you Sony ponys can play the games right now too. All you'll be getting out of the remasters is upgraded graphics and the resolution being upscaled to 4k. Also, god of war 3 already been remastered. There's no need to remaster the 3rd game twice. Sony will probably just do a PS5 port and only upscale the resolution to 4k and possibly add ray tracing and maybe fps boost.
