You won't see pink, orange and green in the sky while playing Ryse, for example, but in gow you will. 2 completely different good games. But you have to admit, man... Sorry no.. both are the same. God of war can barely be called a game and is so linear with barely any interesting sidequests (treasure maps and some dwarve quests) that it has no replay value whatsoever.. There's barely any variety in combat either.. Block with shield, throw axe.. And the "finishing" animations are always the same. Playing the game on hard doesn't make the combat more rewarding or cleverer, no tactics. It just makes the enemies "bullet-sponges" and gets boring quickly because it just prolonges the same fights over and over again. But it looks amazing and the lore is of course great too.. But in the end it's more of a movie than a game

Ryse completion rating was high. Everybody I know from about a few hundred in my community that played it enjoyed it greatly. I think it being on Xbox at launch hurt its reviews. Almost everybody was upset with Microsoft November 2013. Had Ryse been a Playstation 4 game I have a good feeling it would of scored a 8 to 9 easily. Most part people couldn't put it down until it was completed. Truly underrated game. A sequel would of done it justice.

this is basically a PC port of the xbox one verison. If this were enhanced on the X, it would also look a lot it does on PC. BUT, if this was designed for PC than ported later down the line, the textures, particles effects, lighting and shadows would of been a completely different level. Ryse's engine is powerful enough to output everything with tremendous accuracy that is not possible on console. i would like to say the pro and x can utilize Ryse's engine (open source, many devs use it), but their CPU side of things is really bad sadly...

Hi im Ish Ryse is Cryengine which like I stated was always a very good but also a very demanding engine. This is why Crysis 3 was always used as a test game on the PC. It made PCs crawl if you didn't have the power. Even going back just to 2013-2014 with a top tier card like a 290x or GTX 980 still couldn't run it at 1080p with everything set to ultra and get a decent framerate The complexity of Ryse is nowhere near what Santa Monica Studios have done with GOW 4. The actual shader tech in GOW is also on another level Devs have lower level access and greater control of the hardware on the consoles which pays dividends. The no loading screens, single camera approach is really just stunning and cleverly implemented I have since 2012 had a R9 290, GTX 980, R9 295X2, R9 Fury X and a GTX 1070 in my gaming PC and played at 1440p 144hz but what the Devs can squeeze out of the console hardware using their in house custom engines still stuns me. GOW 4 actually had some WOW moments and flat gaming hasnt done that to me in a quite a while. The CPU in the console SoCs is not quite the issue a lot of people think it is as they use a GPGPU design massive GPU combined with lightweight CPU cores. The GPU does most of the grunt work. They also utilise those asynchronous compute engines found on GCN to run compute queues in parallel with the graphics queue which actually makes the GPU more efficient by filling in any bubbles in the graphics queue. The consoles also have the graphics API hard baked into the command processor of the GPU this reduces drawcalls and other CPU requests from thousands or even tens of thousands to just 11. Sony and MS had to stay with jaguar cores for the X and Pro due to unforeseen timing issues which could arise by switching CPU cores even just moving to Puma could have caused this. Sony has solved this now and there is even a Sony patent for CPU timing with Mark Cernys name attached, so for the PS5 they will switch to Zen Now if the PS5 is as powerful as rumours suggest, then it will be a Monster.

Supongo que hace esta comparación porque los juegos tienen el mismo estilo de cámara pero esta comparación no viene al caso, son dos jugos que no compiten y uno de ellos es de los más populares de la historia y otro es muy poco conocido. Ademas las imágenes que has usado para mostrar nisiquiera son las mejores de cada juego , God of war tiene unos paisajes/entorno mucho pero mucho más espectaculares que Ryse y la calidad de texturas e iluminacion es mejor , más detalladas. En lo que gana Ryse es en la distancia de dibujado y la fluidez pero eso no corresponde al juego sino al hardware en el que corre, si GoW lo pones en una pc con gtx 1080 también tendrá esa ventaja, pero es exclusivo de ps4. Por otra parte el video no le hace justicia a ninguno de los 2 juegos , ya que al subirlo a KZbin por la compresión y demás pierde calidad , en gameplay real se nota mucho la diferencia a verlo en video, más si tienes un buen tv , como Oled 4k entre otros. Así que no apresuren juicios personas que no los han jugado por si mismos. Salu2

I’d love a huge freaking game with ryse. Like enormous. Huge game but where you control a smallish squad... where you customize and control a legion (or smaller group) through battle and raids around Europe and Mid East. Like, upgrade each individual person (maybe total of like 10-20 you can customize completely). Pve of course, and can be very much story driven. I haven’t played ryse but I really like the shield combat it has. Idk, just felt like sharing that xD. Needed to get it off my chest as I’ve been looking for a game where you at least control and be in a group like that

You have to admit, for a game that came out in 2013. Ryse, Still hold up graphically. Even compared to some 2017/2018 Games. After all. It was the Flagship game for the xbox one. So they spared no exspence to pack in as much detail, texture, pixials, and physics as possible. Even though it wasn't until the PC port where you can get the full range of the image. ok i got your point. both are hack n slay in 3rd person. both have a mythic/anicent touch. the story of gow is great, ok. and ryse story is wack and short, ok. but that are personal desicion. puncto story lenght; the record speedrun in gow is 4h 30min and in ryse 2h 7min... so 80 % in gow are story telling cutscenes, but yeah its longer story. in the new gow the boss enemys are every time the same in other colours... and in the other gow's every bossfight is a highlight.... dont get me wrong i like gow. but think you need calm down from your gow hype. -the video will say PC MASTARACE in terms of graphic @@terrybogard1722

Its so funny that these comments on what looks better are relying on so much different aspects. The most flawed one i read so far is Gow is a better game. Wow ..that actually true in my opinion.. but it has nothing to do with the looks of both games. Then we have these Gow looks better lol Ps4 ftw etc etc.. Considero que Rise of Rome sigue siendo unos de los mejores juegos de XBOX y que a día de hoy tiene un nivel y calidad difícil de superar pero GoW está ahí lastima que solo lo puedan disfrutar los de Sony ya que es un juegazo os lo dice un jugador de Xbox. Ryse holds up very well for a 5 year old game. Granted, it's running on PC and not the One X (not sure if the game ever even got a One X patch tbh) but still. Also, I feel like Ryse got a lot of flack due to the negativity surrounding the XB1 as the game, while not perfect, was nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be at the time. It was just a casualty in the console war cross fire.
