I dedicate this song to my son Matthew who I lost to Cancer in 2020 he was my youngest and my only son. He was only 32. The first time I heard this song I was in Junior High School in 1968. I immediately knew it was a special song. Thank you Brian Wilson for writing this song it has meant more to me than anybody will ever know. ☺️🙏🏻❤️💙😇💕🎶

“I get anxious, I get scared a lot, it’s what I live with…” has made me cry on multiple occasions, being someone who suffers severely from anxiety. It’s just the way he sings it, you can feel and hear his pain. Unlike anyone else imo.

Don't you just love this guy?! Sits at the piano and plays and sings this effervescent song he himself composed, so beautifully. It's wonderful the genes of a middle-class family can produce a creator of this caliber out on the West Coast of USA in the 1940's.

I love Brian Wilson as much as the next guy , the early surf music , pet sounds , smile , I just got into Wild Honey , but let's be honest , I think Smile , was the last time Brian had his signature voice. This performance made me very sad, his intonation was off a lot and he gave those nice falsetto notes at the end , to a back up singer. He did a lot of damage to his voice in those two years and he will never regain that voice , but I still love and respect Brian Wilson for doing so much work to get healthy again, and the incredible work he has done in the past !

WOW! His singing is so much stronger than it would be on "Pet Sounds Live" however many years later. In fact, I really don't care to hear Brian sing the song nowadays. But chalk one up for the Landy era, 'cause this is an AWESOME performance, high notes and everything! He's actually playing, a real piano, carrying the whole song -- fantastic!
