Among the four paths to know about God , and to reach Him , Bhakti marg is the most important one as it connects us with God directly . Karm marg is elaborate and tedious , there are conditions and limitations lest the entire endeavor is negated . Gnan marg is highly intellectual , not easily accessible to all , so is yog marg . The completion of these three paths depends upon bhakti , whereas bhakti marg doesn't necessitate the support of other three paths . Devotion requires only pure heart . It easily attracts God and His mercy . The mercy of God intensifies devotion . Once we reach such a state of devotion , all our thoughts , deeds , utterances will be God - centred , our concern will be His pleasure . We will derive pleasure by surrendering ourselves to God . Then with His mercy and blessings we will be able to reach Him .

What a beautiful narrative by Swamiji! The paths of gyan, karma, and ashtang yoga need the infusion of bhakti to reach God, however, the path of bhakti needs no supplements. Bhakti alone results in the grace of deeper bhakti. Thank you, Swamiji.

So nice explanation! Out of four paths devotional path is the easiest, safest, surest and quickest path for attaining the highest bliss or God-realisation. In Bhakti marg nothing is required extra to do bhakti except a pure, simple ,humble and a loving heart. God loves a pure and humble heart. In Bhagavad Gita also God has told again and again about devotion and surrender.

Besides bhakti, though the scriptures describe the paths of karma, yoga and gyan, without devotion, these other three paths are like dead body with no soul. लखत रहत नित भक्ति मुख, कर्म योग अरु ज्ञान। अति स्वतंत्र है भक्ति पथ, वेद पुराण बखान।। (Bhakti Shatak) The paths of karma, yoga and jnana need the support of devotion to be complete. Devotion doesn't need the support of any other path. It is independent and complete in itself. As Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has said - भक्ति मुख निरीक्षक कर्म योग ज्ञान। God-realization is possible by the other three paths only when they are supported by bhakti.
