No, the devil wants you to keep your mouth shut. He wants to silence. The people are speaking the truth. The Lord says say if your voice shakes don’t worry about who’s offended worry about who’s being deceived how can you save anybody with a closed mouth? You’re doing exactly what the enemy wants you to do.

The Dr's. teaching is talking about controlling our tongue in the face of adversity, conflicts, and arguments. He's not talking about when it comes to bringing people to Adonai unless you're going to become combative or are in heated situations where you're trying to convince people to follow HIM. We aren't to twist anyone's arm to follow HIM. It's more about having loose lips, gossiping, and encouraging us to think before we speak instead of trying to have the last word. Sometimes, we should just stop talking and simply meditate on HIS WORD. He will handle the rest, so we don't regret what we say or end up cursing our lives because we speak life and death in the tongue. This lesson is right on time because this is the season HE has me in and find myself keeping silent as people do me wrong where before I would've said something to them, defended myself, or started an argument. Trust me, my flesh wants to react, but being still and knowing HE fights my battles gives me peace and is bringing me closer to HIM so I can be kingdom minded opposed to carnal.
