Hum, I really would appreciate to look at your ressources proving that this recording does stem from the actual 1911 Coronation service of King George V for it sounds way too “modern” when compared to typical ones of the same decade: acoustic sound capture. It certainly does not allow to have such details especially with huge choirs, who normally sound more like ghost crowd (in Wagner 1905-1910 old Bayreuth recordings for instance, Holländer, Lohengrin, Tannhäuser…). Plus, it strangely matches to this rendition of the anthem which is dated from 1935: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2bNqaOXf8uXeaMsi=U5ghQ2HhWl7PCsDj. How wonderful it could be if it was a genuine testimony from that great event of the dawning century! Alas, we must acknowledge doubts when they’re clad in such legitimacy.
