Fills me with pride everytime. So many insult our royal family for being privileged, constantly questioning their purpose and point, when so many others are born into greater wealth with no decorum or responsibility, let's not forget the royal family does not have to do anything such as the 100s of charities that promote and support, royal variety show, invictus games, entertaining heads of state, princes trust and the multitude of other things they do out of duty to the country. They are the living embodiment of our history when the beefeaters line the street with the golden cartridge and escorts in traditional garments with all the pomp and ceremony, we are seeing our history and tradition. I'm British & was talking to someone the other day who visits Singapore quite a lot & he & his wife were saying what an amazing country Singapore is! They were saying how safe & clean it is. I would be very careful what you wish for - Britain is a great country with a lot of truly beautiful places particularly in the beautiful English summer we are having at the moment but there are places that would stagger you due to the amount of crime & filth compared to Singapore. Maybe come here on holiday first to check the place?

Deep Heat I'm aware Britain has unsafe places, so I plan to move to a safe city/town once I land on British soil. Tbh I'll rather live in the UK. You Brits have 4 seasons and a royal family, here in Sg it's summer all year round and it gets boring having the same weather constantly, in my opinion. Plus, I'll like to eat Western food every day. I prefer Western food. (There are some good Asian dishes but I like Western food more.) True, Sg may be cleaner and safer but I really wanna become a Brit citizen. Hopefully I can visit the UK (and a few other European countries like France) one day for a vacation.

I understand. Real British people are great, I'm proud of our sense of decency, fairness & compassion & sense of humour but there is an underclass here, generated by our over generous Welfare system, where some of the people are not so great - uncultured, uncouth, ungrateful..... They are by *FAR* in the minority but you will come across them in big inner city areas. London is an amazing city & even in my lifetime has become a real fun place to visit from being a bit of a boring & austere city up until the 1980's. I would also recommend our *West Country* particularly this time of year with amazing beaches & water sports like surfing in Cornwall or the stunning beauty of Devon. A friend & I took a canoe trip down the River Wye a couple of years back from Glasbury to about 20 miles down the river & I'd *HIGHLY* recommend that - It's a *BEAUTIFUL* river with wild salmon leaping out & an almost cathedral like landscape with river passing through majestic avenues of ancient woodlands. The river really makes up the border between Wales & England & passes through a county that is really the spiritual heartland of the UK - *Hereford.* Now all that said I'm looking to *LEAVE* the UK for the simple reason of our bloody weather which is *DIRE* 80% of the time! This summer has been *amazing* with really everyday from about 2 weeks before the wedding to now in high 20 C sunshine but our summers can be terrible with maybe only 10 -15 days of sunshine for the entire season & then you are really into 8 months of varying degrees of grey & cold! Hopefully you will make it here if just for a trip to check things out & if you do I hope you enjoy your stay & please contact me if you would like anymore advice or recommendations!
