Although the Bible doesn’t explicitly say anything about recreational use of marijuana, it does repeatedly warn of drunkenness. Also stating explicitly stating to “be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8 You see, dear Kennedy, when one’s mind is under the influence of a mood/mind altering substance, it’s easier to fall under deception and overindulgence. Examine yourself honestly. Ask yourself questions such as “why do I feel the need to acquire my peace and joy from marijuana and not my Lord Jesus Christ?” This is something that you and the LORD our God must work out together, as we’re told to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12 What do you do when ‘get high?’ I’m only asking because I was a hardcore heroin addict for many years before Lord Jesus Christ broke the chains of addiction in me and provided all that I was looking for and more, in heroin. Do you smoke and then spend your time reading your Bible? Being drawn to our Father’s presence? When I used to smoke, I would get high and ponder Heavenly questions, yet I noticed that I’d never read the Bible and fall at Lord Jesus’ feet and sit before the Throne of Grace. Only once I stopped smoking, was I able to sincerely and fully devote myself to the LORD our God and that’s when He changed everything for me. Now, I get higher than any drug could ever make me; by resting in God’s presence, reading His word, praising Lord Jesus, and our Father God as the Holy Spirit leads me to do so in Spirit and in truth. I can only answer your question with those Bible Scriptures and my own experience, but I assure you, if you lay down the marijuana, you’ll find yourself experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit and walk closer after Lord Jesus Christ than ever before as you sincerely desire to please, obey, and do our Father’s will. I’m praying for you dear, Kennedy. May God reveal the truth to you, in a way that you will understand and lead you into a deeper, more personal, seriously intimate relationship with Him like you’ve never know, for your good and His glory, in Jesus name.🙏🏾🕊️✝️♥️
