#myturn WOW! Shawn, for the second week you are really speaking to me. I'm a firefighter turned preacher and music evangelist. I gave up a career in music to raise my kids. Three years ago, God called me back into music and gave me a message - (how to have courage in these chaotic times.) Preached from the heart of a firefighter. I recorded the LP in Nashville and God even put me on a world stage to speak. But the day after, my 80-year-old mother was paralyzed in a car accident and placed into my care. Since, it has been a struggle. I'm trying to be a good son, and I have this calling bursting inside of me. But lately, I feel I'm having to give it all up again.

Thanks for serving as a firefighter. I Love your sacrifice for your family as well. I know it can't be easy to take care of your mother now, but I do know that what you are called to eternal and the things in ministry that make you the most fulfilled will be your everlasting existence so to lay them aside to love in this container of time and fulfill the call of a son and of family is one of those things that is so hard but God will reward you with more of Himself both now and forever.

I'm hopeful with the sudden and unexpect loss of two people very close to us, my husband being pushed out of the workforce after over 30+ years in his industry, hand to mouth for several years, and just feeling like we are being buried alive and completely cut off and isolated from family and friends, everything in the house has broken... now physical problems have become more debilitating... but I can feel something on the wind. Whether he chooses to bless me here or wait until I've crossed over, I know his blessings are real and I'm ok with whatever his plan is at this point, I've reached a point where I feel at peace. Everything we absolutely need has been provided so when something new falls apart I just roll my eyes and say it's up to you Lord because I just can't anymore. The warrior is tired so I'm leaving it to you, I'm going to rest in you and let the storm blow.

Wow, this is spot on! August 2023 God was already preparing me for this season for 2024. He told me that I was entering into my “MyTurn” season/year. I’ve even started and entered 2024 in September of 2023 during the Hebrew New Year where I’ve fasted and created my vision board titled “MyTurn.” I strongly believe that, in every area of my life where I’ve lacked, where I’ve experienced delays, and other areas where I’ve been believing God for or prophetic words that was spoken over me for years pertaining my calling that I was not seeing coming to past. This is my #MyTurn season, I literally have on my vision board “2024- the year of the open door” before I even heard prophetically from the prophets I follow that this is what the year would be about. Even with the prophetic, and being spot on with what I believe God is speaking not only for me but also for the people around me have been accurate, and that’s a breakthrough within itself where I’ve felt like this part of my calling was blocked or having a hard time to walk in it fully. Ahhh so good Shawn. I am believing this “MyTurn” season/year for all of you in the comments!
