God delivered me from a emotional mental abusive marriage with a narcissist. I didn’t have a way to leave. One day the Holy Spirit Jude moved and made him leave. It was a instant lifting of oppression I had. It has been over a year now and my life has become fruitful. I have learned to know God and his character through the time in that marriage and I had the hope in the Lord he would release me. I am always filled with gratitude for what He has done for me. There is a story I think of that helps put this idea into perspective for me and I hope it does the same for anyone who reads this. An elephant is tied to a rock in its youth with a rope. Every time it tries to leave it remains chained to the rock because it is too small to move at all. The bigger it gets, the more capable it is of escape, and at full size it could easily break the rope. However, after all this time of oppression under the flimsy rope, the mental chains have become stronger than the physical ones ever were.

I know that you may have interpreted that bug landing on you as a sort of distraction but for me it was a huge confirmation. I have been agonizing about moving. Specifically wondering if I should be open to moving in with a particular person. God always compares this person to an insect, a bee 🐝 I think.
