I'm struggling with addiction to my medication. One of them is Suboxone, which, ironically, is the current "treatment" for opioid addiction. But it's EXTREMELY addictive, and even harder to get off of than anything I've ever tried to get off of before. The pharmaceutical companies designed it that way. It's way, way more expensive and more addictive than any other opioid. It's classified as a controlled substance! I wish I'd known before I chose to go on it. I've tried going off of it before, but it was unbearable. The constant, overwhelming anxiety, shaking legs, inability to sleep, diarrhea, and racing thoughts just wouldn't go away. I need prayers, because this is too much for me alone to bear.

Hello! I hope this comment finds you well. Even though the words "I repent" were not spoken of, the very nature of her experience caused her to repent. An understanding of what repentance means may shed a bit of light on what I mean. Repentance means to change one's mind. It comes from the Greek word metanoia (meta, like in the word "metamorphosis" and noia, the word for the mind). So it essentially means to change one's mind. The Bible says we should repent in two things; 1. toward God (Acts 20:21) and 2. of our sins (James 4:8) Repenting toward God is to change your mind on what you thought He was to what He really is. In her testimony, she spoke of how God sent a woman that had words of knowledge for her. This let her know that God knew everything about her (because the knowledge was revealed supernaturally) God was very powerful and that God cared for her. In the visions she had, God told her essentially that she doesn't have to go back to her old life after He broke her chains. This reveals that God delivers us from sin, that sin is wrong, and that she doesn't need to go back. A great example of this could be the woman that was caught in adultery in John 8. Jesus did not tell her explicitly to repent, but she did repent. When she could've died, Jesus saved her life, showing her that Jesus is salvation, so she repented toward Him in believing that He is salvation. When Jesus said "neither do I condemn you", she repented toward Him in believing that He forgives sins. In saying "go and sin no more" she repented toward sin, knowing that it is not something one should live in or return to. She experienced Jesus as The Light of The World, without Him telling her (as in the later verses) that whoever follows Him will not walk in darkness. It is what we teach and show about God that leads people to repent. Of course, we should teach people to repent, but repentance doesn't come in a formal kind of format where people say "I repent". A lot of people say they repent, but haven't repented. They felt remorseful. It's not the same thing. One can feel remorseful and not change their mind about God and about sin. The Gospel is what makes people repent (Mark 1:15). That is what the woman in the testimony experienced. Again, I hope this comment was helpful. Stay in the word! I fear that people unable to cope with the reality of hell automatically put their lost loved ones in heaven. It’s a tough thing to grapple with but by the dads own admission she was in darkness before she died. I don’t see anywhere in scripture where that leads to heaven. I’m glad the family that remains is in Christ! But it’s important to be honest with ourselves even in the most desperate times

Hey Johnny, stories like this one are sadly not uncommon. Satan loves to bring pain and trauma through darkness and manipulation. But this much is true: Psalm 34:8 “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” God can bring healing if you open the door of your heart to Him.

I read her book upon her father’s recommendation. It was a very good read, and there were some very interesting revelations. From my perspective she’s being brutally honest. I highly recommend the book if you are interested (dying to live).

God does still perform miracles, but not outside of His will. So, I actually found out that yes we can make petitions in prayer, but it’s better first take time to speak to Him in your prayer time opening up completely, then be humble enough to ask Him what His will is and wait to hear it before you take a step, before you act on what you heard, run it by scripture/your church family/pastors/your conscience/and confirmations. If you KNOW it’s His word and His will, He will make a way!
