This video was on my recommended feed and I was hesitating on whether I should click it or not, because I didn't want to get my hopes up. I'm glad I did, though! Was watching this while cooking lunch and cried the whole time! It just reminds me so much of what I'm currently going through. The guy I really like is from my church. I didn't really knew of him or care about him until that one time he went out of his way to open the door for me and my mom despite the fact that I am capable of opening the door myself and should be the one to open the door for him, because his hands were full of stuff. He isn't the type of guy I'd be attracted to (and at that time, I actually had a crush on another guy at church) but after that moment, I couldn't understand why I couldn't get him off my mind. I just found his gesture really sweet and thought that his mom raised him right but after that encounter I started to pay attention to him more. He started to serve my side of the pews during Lord's supper and I was pretty sure everyone, especially his parents knew I had this big fat crush on him (because I often caught his parents staring at me). I tried to deny my feelings, because it's weird to have a crush on a guy at church (and probably offensive to God to be thinking about a cute guy at church instead of worshiping God sincerely) but the feelings kept growing stronger. I knew that I liked him and wanted to marry him when one Father's Day, my preacher mentioned something about the young men being father's one day and they should be like Onesiphorous (not sure if that's the guy's name, but it's a bible character that brought his family to the Lord) and this weird, intrusive thought came to my mind when I happened to glance at his back: He'd be a good dad one day. Whoever he marries would be lucky to have him. And just when I started to accept my feelings, my preacher suddenly announced that my church crush would be leaving for boot camp (Marines). It crushed me! I lost hope... All of a sudden, I started to get these dreams that seemed to imply he's the guy I'm supposed to marry (like this one dream where we are having dinner with his parents and his parents asked him if he was going to ask me to move with him to Idaho and he just had this smirk on his face and says without hesitation, "of course" and this one dream where it was like in his head and as my preacher announced the names of the people who would be receiving their bible college certificates, it's like I was looking at myself through his eyes as this golden glow surrounds me and in his mind, he said, "this is the girl I'm going to marry." when my preacher called my name in the dream). I thought it was just my mind conjuring up some obsessive fantasies, but weeks pass by and his mom starts going out of her way to get to know me and she's just really nice to me and starts to befriend my mom and I, so it gave me hope that maybe that was a confirmation from God and weeks go by and I was reminded of that dream when my mother and I attended Wednesday night bible study and sat on one of the pews across the window. The sun was just setting and it was hitting me directly, blinding me, so I asked my mom to scoot over and as i did so, I saw my crush's dad staring at me like he'd seen a ghost and for some reason the dream came to my mind so it gave me hope. But then it just looked so impossible to happen, because one by one his family was moving to the US Mainland and so it just seemed impossible for him to ever come back home (to the island). I prayed to good to take the feelings away but it never really did go away... in fact, it's just growing stronger everyday and I just don't know why, because I haven't seen him come home after enlisting in the Marine Corps 2 or 3 years ago (honestly can't remember). I kept asking God for a sign and I suppose he got tired of me asking, because when I asked him for a final confirmation, his response was brutal! I was in Sunday morning bible study and my bible teacher was teaching Luke 1 when all of a sudden, this teacher looks me dead in the eye, like he's looking into my soul (almost like he's possessed by some supernatural force) and says, "so if you don't want God to keep your mouth shut like he did to Zechariah (John the Baptist's dad) don't doubt God's words/promises" and I just died inside, trying hard not to laugh! And when he continued teaching as if he didn't just do exactly what I asked God to do as a confirmation (even down to the exact preacher I asked him to speak through), I looked down at my bible and saw my crush's name! I couldn't help but smile the whole time, praising God, and thinking, "message received, God." and after worship, my mom and I went to the store to grab some stuff and the first thing I saw while browsing through the shelves were these "Idahoan" mashed potatoes (or something) packages and I was just floored by the fact that he was showing me 3 confirmations in one day (because Idaho was mentioned in my dream, and I couldn't understand, even now, why Idaho of all places when I don't know what's so good about it, don't know anyone living in Idaho and as far as I know, neither does his family, and there isn't any Marine bases/installations or ties (according to a Marine friend) to Idaho. I just find it hard to trust God, when the physical realm/what I can see just shows that it's impossible for me to see him again. His parents don't seem to be coming back to the island since they moved permanently to the US Mainland and if he hasn't even gone home after boot camp, I doubt he'd even come home for a vacation or come back to see a unattractive girl like myself. He probably forgot about me and found other prettier girls wherever he's stationed. His parents were probably being just nice and he was just probably being nice when he opened the door for me. I don't know. I just hate that I really care about him but not know where we stand or if he feels the same way. I hate that I love him more than I love God. I just don't want to idolize him or love him more than God, you know? But whether or not things end up working out in the end, I'm so glad I stumbled upon your testimony. It was quite encouraging to watch!

Pretty amazing. I decided to wait until I was married to sleep with anyone again. I then finally met the first Godly woman of my life that had a wrench throne in it unexpectedly and I have come to see the things God needed to work on me from that which im very thankful. I actually prayed before I met her for God to put more love into my heart and he has shown me how much he did that and iv never been more convinced of something that she is my future wife but it looks pretty useless at the moment lol. It's always nice seeing God's timing like your guys story. This wonderful woman has 2 children but has committed herself to God since having the 2nd and God has put that desire in me to be there for them as well. It's actually been quite hard and iv definitely learned to be careful what you ask for lol. I'm continuing to pray and God's will. If they isn't his will I hope he removes those feelings. Thanks for sharing your video

God-loving parents can be insightful conduits of God's instruction. 43 years ago (I'm a guy who had always been very nervous around girls), after a few months dating my now-wife, my mother looked at me and said, "She is the perfect partner for you. If you don't marry her, I'll disown you and adopt her!" My brother had similar input.
