@keniasharpe, I'm late seeing your comment but I thought I'd leave you an answer. The technique she's doing with leaving pieces out in her hair can be successfully done with synthetic hair, which is what I prefer because leaving your own hair out as she's doing is drying. Hopefully I've helped.

@chikaezeobi6171, I'm just seeing this young lady braiding and noticed your comment. While I'm a hair-doer and not a professional licensed cosmetologist, I've been doing and caring for hair for over 40 years and I feel very qualified to answer you. You've stated when weaving your hair, you do so tightly and still, your braids look old. In the world of hair, the term you are using (weaving) refers to sewing in hair connected to a weft and not braiding hair in the style of this young lady in a brick formation. Perhaps you may not be using enough braiding hair that covers your natural hair and so your hair begins to poke through looking old. Perhaps your gripping technique needs practice. The use of the crochet technique will be a greater way to assure your braids look much better and are longer lasting. Hopping I've Perhaps helped and answered a question a month later.❤️

@@sonyacreel6600 thank you so much😘🥰 you have helped me😇, even though I'm not bad in knotless braids and box braids, I'm still horrible in cornrow or Ghana weaving soo I have decided to go and learn how to weave hair in a hair salon, I knew it I was doing something wrong and I don't have patients when weaving my hair I just start to take big portion of my hair because I'm tired
