I've really been wanting to dive into the world of waifu cards, but it just seems so haphazard at the moment between reused art, mixed quality of card stock, etc. I like to 100% my card collections as well, so that's really holding me back, too, seeing as I'm not even sure how to find a checklist of all the cards that exist for each set. Normally, I wouldn't mind picking up singles from the aftermarket, but so many sellers are marking rare singles up to an exorbitant amount. I just don't really know the right set to jump-in on! It feels like there's a bit more waiting to do for one of these companies to dial it in.

Yeah there's a lot of reused and ai art. Most sets don't have a setlist either unless someone in the community makes one. Sets overall are pretty hard to 100% unless you buy a lot. So most people just collect specific characters. It is true that people mark up the cards a lot on eBay and such at ridiculous prices (Which is probably why I sell so much because I list them cheap lol). But, the card sets are only printed once. So if one comes out that you're interested in, it's the time to grab it before it's gone.

​@@VauxiteTV That definitely makes sense. I suppose I just need to reframe the collector aspect of it. One thing I love about these types of cards is that they seem to be innovating on foil ideas -- well, maybe not innovating, per se, but at least implementing things I've not yet seen in one card (for instance, like the ones in this video that have the holofoil outline around the character's body ala 6:26). That might have been done in other sets of waifu cards, but it's not something I've seen done with the cards I've collected up until now (primarily older ChaosTCG sets, like "Rio: Rainbow Gate!"). Anyway, I'm enjoying watching your channel since finding it a few months back or so! Really good way to get a survey of the landscape of these cards, especially over time. =)

Yeah so far it's meh. But I bought a case so maybe there'll be better stuff in the other boxes
