@@Trailblazer_Ririna most combats can be put on Auto, EX stage has to be manual. Some specific fight are better fought using manual control because AI can be dumb sometime. And yes, all Nikke has feelings for commander, but there are some who go to the extreme, and some...actually "did it" with commander (not written but you get the hints). I won't spoil it but there's this 1 Nikke who did it at least once per her variation... and you will probably never guess who just by looking at them. I was genuinely shocked when I found out.

If you ever start this game, just a heads up to avoid confusion. These Nikke are cyborgs. They've got human brains with mechanical bodies. I won't divulge in the how/why because that's spoiler territory but hopefully you give this game a chance. It's the one gacha game that actually managed to hook me. Ever since launch, I've been on it almost daily during my lunch breaks. The story writing, charactes and music is fantastic. Praying you avoid spoilers. 🙏

The game lures you in with The "Plot" and you stay for the plot. I recommend that you give it a try. About the 160 Wall thing mentioned by another comment, the game gives you free gems and gacha tickets often or gives straight-up free 3-star SSR Units but this is only when they celebrate their anniversary which is a few months from now (Yes, to pass this wall you have to get 5 SSR Units with 3 stars) so even it actually has said wall if you enjoy the story and don't try to rush the story you probably be fine. Shift Up has improved QoL a lot since Day 1 and Dev really listens to the player. One last thing DORO is not real so it can't hurt you and Nikke PV on KZbin is always heavily censored because well you know. LOL

Yep, for sure! Although personally, I think the fan service in the PVs was quite tame and not that bad thankfully. Especially during the gameplay parts, considering the fact that people kept hinting at how the gameplay fan service was excessive or something along those lines. 🤣 At least, when compared to a certain other game I checked out previously, this is nothing and when paired with the lore, it’s such a fascinating world! 🥲

People think just cuz there is fan service that the game sucks or is shallow, but I agree with the OP that it's a good way to filter people out. those who stay gets it. It's good to see good folks like you Ririna who understand that the fanservice is just a part of the game and there's many other different aspects of the game to appreciate, and this game is a very polished game with a well-written story, very well animated and drawn characters, a fair free to play system, and a very good community. that doesn't take itself too seriously. Despite how lewd this game can be, if you're a female player, the community is very welcoming because people who play this game seriously understand the difference between reality and fantasy. I've seen so many posts that have been very welcoming to any female players who are interested in this game, from v tubers to cosplayers to artists, etc.

I tried the game out Day 1 thinking I'm gonna enjoy the fanservice for a while till the novelty wears off and I move on to other games...but the story and characters really surprised me, and it's been my favorite gacha game ever since. They even managed to make me like characters whose designs I don't like. There's a lot of interesting interactions with the characters which is another thing I enjoy from this game and the music! Welcome aboard. As most of us tend to say, the story is a huge part of the game. Fear not, even if you start now, the game has an archive section available to both read over previous chapters, or access event stories despite them not being ongoing anymore. Aside from Collabs, which are understandably extra limited, everything makes its way to the archive after a few months. As for playing the game itself. Besides collabs, or the summer/Xmas alters, every Nikke get added to the base summon pool, so there's a fairly small amount of FOMO compared to other gachas.

Honestly, I don't mind if I don't get a lot of Nikkes as long as I can get through the content decently enough. I prefer learning about the characters through the stories and then being able to appreciate the ones I do manage to get. hehe

So to put this in context, you will eventually hit your first CP wall as resources are a gradual acquisition. As long as you clear story chapters to improve your Outpost gains, passive daily resources will keep flowing (just login once a day). You may at worst eventually find yourself in a position where dailies are what pull you through, although to be fair that's eventually true for most Commanders (it's just a matter of when). The main story will then eventually slow down when that happens, but you'll still be able to keep going, even if only through event stories which are canon and character focused. Shift Up do give quite a few summon tickets on the regular, so you'll be able to pull a fair amount over time, and the 2nd anniversary is in like 3 months so we'll likely get a load more summons then too. Not running meta is only an "issue" later down the line. Unless you only run SR or R units, you'll likely be able to push a fair bit, especially if you take your time as you'll get plenty of passive income. I'll tell you this early, once you've unlocked the Wishlist (on the normal recruit banner), only select Nikkes you already have so you can make it to 5 Nikkes with 3 dupes, we call that MLB or LB3 (Max Limit Break, or Limit Break 3). This will be important to level up beyond 160 through the synchro device. Through the synchro, you really don't ever need to level more than 5 Nikkes as they'll elevate everyone else with them (you can reset extra spending with 10 gems, so no foul there either). Once you have those 5 MLB Nikkes, feel free to select anyone you don't have yet if you'd like. By all means, ping me if you have more questions, I'll see what I can do to help fill in the blanks you run into. I always love it when someone else gets caught in the lore of the game (I promise to avoid spoilers)

You'll really enjoy the game if you love about character stories and the lore of that world. Just like how people playing Blue Archive are also playing Nikke for the Story. Oh and game will have you choose which server to play on, I suggest "Japan" server if you want play alongside with more people.(Since it's the most populated server) Don't worry about Translation, you can choose it to be in English despite in the JP server. Also you can choose either English, Japanese, or Korean for the NIKKE VA's. And can switch them anytime.

Veteran Player here. You come for the "Plot", you stay for the Plot and Music. The story is good, and the characters are engaging. The gameplay loop is Duck Hunt with "Assets". The bosses require thought and strategy. Hard Mode Campaign will drive you crazy at points. Ive been playing since week one, and i dont think i plan on quitting any time soon. I highly recommend it if you like series like Neir or Ghost in The Shell.

@@Trailblazer_Ririna you dont need to avoid Hard mode, its not that harder, each stage have CP=combat power recommended, if yours is the same or above the recommended you can do the stage easely, if is under, unless is like 30%+ lower then the recommended CP, its doable and most the time can even be completed on auto most of the time. If you unable to do a stage just wait till you can, there no Stamina in the game. Every stage, normal or hard mode except the EX[EX ones give gems[pull currency] ones counts to raise your outpost level, outpost level is used for resourses box and outpost defense, hour based daily resource freebies.

Miss Ririna regarding the popularity event I think people voted the Nikkes with the most impactful stories. Modernia and Red Hood stories are the most impactful so far followed very close by Dorothy story. I recommend you try the game if only for the story and top tier music wich are amazing. As in side stories Over Zone, Red Ash and Last Kingdom were the most well written so far for me, these are the half year, 1 year and 1.5 year anniversary stories so they've put extra work into them.

Nikke is great; the characters, the story and especially the music is all fantastic. I will warn you though this game is infamous for having legitimate wall (the 160 wall) that will take like 2-3 month to get over as a F2P if you're lucky, if you're unlucky maybe 5 months as an F2P. You probably won't feel the effect this wall till you reach chapter 16. Which is still a good amount of content for where the story is currently at. Other than that the game is very much worth playing if you are interested, despite having said wall the game is very F2P friendly. My units are all currently lv.130, I'm on chapter 12 and I have a ton of SSRs ( most notable: liter,alice,tia,naga,maxwell, s.rosana, s.sakura, s.anis) and many more; all without spending.

The length to clear the 160 wall varies from account to account depending on luck. I started at the 1 year anniversary and was lucky enough to be able to get past the 160 wall before I even reached lvl 160.

@@Trailblazer_Ririna i don't think you have to worry about the gameplay since it's one of the easiest by far no difficult mechanics or anything like that, the game have a pity sistem super f2p friendly that you can save for future banner, and about the pity, it is 20 multi, and you would think oh that's a lot, actually no at the anniversary they usually give more than 20 multi for free without reason, they give a free pity basically at the anniversary and at every anniversary the ticket they give get more and more

as far as the questions towards the end the game isn't hard at all (well there are challenge modes but regular game is easy), there's auto play and you're really required to manually play only for bosses, everything else you can pray the auto makes it and if it doesn't just level up a bit and try again. i'm 100% f2p and i cleared all of the story, you don't need to spend money, it will just take time to get there and the anniversary in november will help boost your account quite a bit. i'd also like to point out a few things -from every event you'll be able to get at least 10 rate-up pulls and 10 standard pulls (sometimes more, for anni it's WAY more and a free SSR nikke with 3 extra copies). -for each time you pull you get a voucher, with 200 "rate-up" vouchers you can buy anyone among the currently rate up units, even limited, collab etc and they're not banner or time restricted, they never expire. -the only limited units are seasonals (summer and christmas so far) and collabs, every other unit gets later added to the general pool and there is a wishlist function on the standard banner where you select 5 nikke from every manufacturer (3 in total, so 15 nikke) and you'll only get those when you get a SSR, so skipping regular units to get them with standard tickets would be a viable strategy to consider. well then, (hopefully) future commander, we have high expectations of you and hope to see you again on nikke!

It stood out to me how surprised you were at Red Hood winning the second popularity contest, so I figured I'd provide some context with little to no spoilers. There are 2 main factors that led to her winning: 1. She had been foreshadowed throughout various chapters of the main story as well as in an event story, meaning people had a year of gradually building hype until she was officially revealed. 2. As a part of the promotional material for the games new characters, there is always a video uploaded onto the NIKKE twitter that shows off the character, their burst skill animation, and some in game combat. When players started using Red Hood for the first time, some had noted that she wasn't doing nearly as much damage in game as she was shown in the promo vid, even after building her up. This led to people speculating she had been nerfed shortly before release and many players began asking for her to be buffed saying she deserved to be one of the strongest. The devs soon decided to comply with the fan base, this resulted in Red Hood becoming so strong that she is still considered the best DPS unit in the game to this date. Between that and the simple fact that most everyone really loved her design and personality, most players knew Red Hood was guaranteed to win before the vote even started! Anyways, sorry for the wall of text, I hope to see you dive further into this game in the future! ❤️

There are 3 Nikke Manufacturers: Elysion: their CEO ingrid Specializes on Military nikkes Missilis:CEO Syuen IDK Tetra-Line: CEO Mustang Entertainment nikkes Pilgrim: Nikkes that wander the surface, Story wise and gameplay wise Most of them Are OP but are only Few of them(10 at the moment)Since they are powerful and few their droprates in gacha are lower than Normal nikkes hence are sought after.. new Pilgrim nikkes are release 2 times a year(based on release patterns so far) And are released every Half anniversary and anniversary...

With 100+ nikkes available there is allot to look forward too (and you can realistically collect 90% of them as free to play in roughly 18 months if you play your cards right, and are lucky) also if you collect certain nikkes you unlock short stories (2-5 mins) of them interacting with the other nikkes you have collected. also also there is a wish list system that allows you to pull for only 15 (plus the pilgrims) out of the 100+ nikke, so you don't risk pulling for someone you don't want.

Started for the service, stayed for the story. What's great about Nikke is how it didn't focus only just fan service, but the story itself and character arcs have a lot of thought put into it. The downside is probably how it gates your progression by your firepower, so there's a saying between commanders [If you can't beat it, sleep on it for couple of months then come back]

@@Trailblazer_Ririna Yes, sadly the main story is either you have enough firepower to proceed or not. Event on the other hand is easier and less demanding on which character you own (if you're not doing the hard challenges). Just remember that Pilgrim Nikkes are like UR characters of the SSR, powerful but hard to pull. However the up side of Nikke's gacha is that you can accumulate golden tickets (1 ticket per up banner pull) and they are permanent items in your inventory (unlike other gacha games), which means if you're REALLY unlucky, you can still just exchange up banner character without pulling with 200 tickets. For starter, just focus on getting 5 SSR to 3 stars so they can reach lv200, then you can unlock the synchronizer feature to make all other Nikkes at their level without leveling each individual Nikke.

As the game releases more version update (new chapters), the firepower required for earlier chapters dropped by percentage every times. That's why new players nowadays can beat a first EX stage (the train hell) with no efforts at all. Also, this lengthens a level 160 wall a bit further. I still remember I got stuck on Chapter 17 for a month along with fellow day 1 F2P, but newer players now started to struggle and got stuck at chapter 18-19 instead. So just enjoy.

​@@Trailblazer_Ririna Also if no one has answered your question about nikkes, then yes you're right with your assumption. Nikkes used to be human girls that got turned into cyborgs. The only human part left of them is their brains but even that is much of a stretch. Now there are two different nikkes. Mass produced nikkes and unique nikkes. As you can tell from the names already, they have a huge gap from each other. Unique nikkes have a much more powerful body with more power customized weapons uniquely to themselves. While mass produced nikkes.... Well they're canon fodder most of the time. Usually just guards and patrols and to make up the numbers against the raptures. Right now im pretty sure no ones knows how a nikke can become a unique one. Also another thing about them is that the reason they still have human bodies, is that their human brain cannot endure the fact that they're not human anymore. So a lot of nikkes back then went crazy and killed themselves because they couldn't accept the fact that they're not humans anymore. Even now, their minds kind of get a small wipe so they dont go crazy (I may be wrong about the mind wipe thing though) but yeah. Thats why they still have functions like humans have. Like taste buds, pain, i think hunger as well? And other stuff :D

If you do pick up this game, you can replay old events by completing current live events and it will give you an item to unlock them at the command center and replay them, I would recommend overzone and then Red ash as the first and second ones you unlock as they give the backstory of goddess squad and the fall of humanity. If my memory serves me right "The last kingdom" story event during 1.5 anniversary released on May this year up to the recent event are not yet archived, New events happen and last 2-3 weeks so after that new event is being tease, so i can say that its a monthly thing...

Most of the young looking Nikke's are actually their visual age, generally older teenagers. Nikke's don't age physically after their conversion, however, so their are exceptions. Liter is old enough to remember living on the Surface and helped _build_ the Arc so she's well over a century at this point.

Seeing many people warning about the 160 wall blocking progress but whether or not that becomes a problem honestly depends on how you choose to play the game. There's still day 1 players that have long bulldozed through the 200 wall that comes after the 160 wall but are only like halfway through the main story because they prefer focusing on playing the events. Each chapter and event takes a decent amount of time, not even including the past and present minigames and the outpost and bond stories, to get through so you should always have content bloat unless you're heavily binging Nikke. Power wall will be tough but for newer players you can get the help of 3 powerful lvl200 nikkes to help you push story if you get stuck early on. I don't think anyone has mentioned it and the game barely explains it but the helper nikkes are permanently available now and do not rotate but they have strong skills so some f2p or smaller spending people even use them in latest story chapters if their gatcha luck is bad so they can't use them otherwise or they don't have the skill materials to boost them even if they are way past lvl200. They also have maxed equipment that's only like 2 tiers below the max, which are the same ones that most people don't get until they're at least a few months into the game. Each of them can only be used up to 3 times a day so for early game you can basically get 9 free wins in campaign a day. They can also be used in events unlimited times. I say don't worry about hitting the walls if you decide to play. If you like it and decide to do dailies then you'll break the wall before you know it, especially if you're still playing other games.

Perfect! I like that. Personally, if I were to continue playing Nikke, it would just be once a week and under 2 hours. So that I have more time to build my characters and get used to the game. But considering the fact that they have the helpers, I am SO relieved even more than before. Nikke is actually unironically a fantastic game that would be worth it for the story alone. As you asked in the video, the Nikke are cybernetic but how they're created is never really explained except they use human brains but who you are is not always who you were as a human because how much memory you retain as a Nikke is dependent both on the individual themselves and the company who remade them, as for their individual looks, people with strong wills seem to take on their personal ideal when they become Nikke's but becoming one also has a decent fail rate.... also from what i understand from the story (and i could be wrong as it's only hinted at) the reason all the Nikke are all women is because during the first Rapture war so many men died that when the technology was being developed they could not risk any more of the male population in experimentation and now it's keyed to female biology in some way.

Although I would for sure recommend playing the game and checking it out, if you are more interested in the story than the gameplay I will say this, to catch up to where we are now at chapter 31/32 it's probably going to take the better part of half a years worth of consistent daily playing, so be aware that it is a long commitment. That said, aside from pushing through story/events the daily grind part of the game might only take 10-20 mins so it's not like it'll be hours every day but it's something to keep in mind. Looking forward to more streams whether its gameplay or just story reactions though!

Been playing Nikke since its out, and tho its heavily fans service. that's only like 20% that make you stay play the game. The majority 80% come up from memes they put/made in-game from the game community, the banger song, and yes the story. SU dev team really great at making you immerse to the point you feel include on the story. Even the side events that look cute/refreshing, they will put a twist inside such as horrors story or traumatize of the past, before those girls turned to be Nikkes. Overall, this game will make you cry a lot, in a good way.

You mentioning Evangelion at the beginning, you'll be happy to know: it is actually the next collab' If you're going to play, I have an advice to avoid getting stuck at one point like many people before: I suggest not really pulling on event banners (unless they are limited characters that you really want) and pull on the general banner to get 5 SSR characters MLB (Max Limit Break, that means having the character with 3 duplicates/spare bodies), whoever they are, even if you don't use them. Event characters that are not marked as limited are usually added to the general banner later, so you'll always get a chance to pick them. So why am I suggesting that? Lots of people get stuck for a long time at what's called the Level 160 Wall and it can be very frustrating to not being able to advance in the story because of that. The level mechanism works like this: there is a Synchro Device that will automatically take your 5 highest levels characters (let's say level 70, 68, 67, 65, 59 and 57) as reference, taking the lowest level of these 5 (so here 57) and bring the characters that you have manually selected in the Synchro Device to this level (you just got a new character and it's level 1? Put it in the Synchro Device, it is now level 57). The thing is, there a level cap: a character with no duplicate can only go to level 80, with one duplicate it can go to level 120, with two duplicate to level 160 and three duplicates to level 200. You'll quickly get 5 characters with 2 duplicates, because SR characters are basically given to you on each pull, but they can only go to level 160, because they can only get 2 duplicates. Only SSR characters can get 3 duplicates and to level 200. And the easiest way to have 5 SSR MLB is by using the general banner's wishlist. The wishlist allows you to select 5 characters by manufacturer (Tetra, Elysion and Missilis, Pilgrims are not in the wishlist but can still appear on the general banner) which will give you a higher chance to pull these 15 characters on the general banner. It's a lot of info, but it's really the only advice I'd give to someone starting now, because there are more and more characters so it's becoming more and more tedious to have 5 MLB. That and switch to Japanese VA just for Mustang and Chime. But most importantly: have fun, have existential crisis and have lots of entertainment!

When people talk about the fanservice of this game, It's mostly either the intricate L2D (of which ShiftUp is one of the pioneers of last decade with their previous game, Destiny Child) and the stuff that's heavily implied, e.g. the MC having sexual relationships with multiple NIKKEs. As for yuri, I guess there's some that's slightly implied and one or maybe two that are pretty much just there in the background. The dynamics between the different NIKKEs and the Squads are really good though, just in general. And the main girls' personalities and relationships really makes you care for them. Other than that, the story is pretty much swinging from one extreme to the other. You'd have absurd moments and serious ones happening within minutes of each other. Fun times. As for the music, if you've got the time, I would strongly recommend going to the KZbin Channel of one of the main Composers for the game- Cosmograph. He's got a rich history with rythm games and you can really tell with his variety of songs, from A.C.P.U! FREEZE! to AFTERGLOW.

The story of NIKKE is kinda similar to Evangelion it's surrounded by mysteries and you will get hype after hype after reading it. At first I'm not a fan of NIKKE in general and I don't want to play after my friend recommend it, but there's an event that caught my attention the Overzone and Red Ash event. From then I start playing it and tbh I really enjoy it and still waiting for chapter 33 and 34. And BTW the word NIKKE is from Mythology Nike "goddess of victory".

I just finish the video. As you can see the dev are pouring their heart into this game. They have one of if not the best OST in gacha game genre, They care about what their player base want and many more. Advice that i can give to new player who love to enjoy the story of the game. But you got time gated with idle system.(yes this game have idle mechanic involve) And the requirement to get past level 160(got 3 duplicate of the same nikke for 5 different nikke but dont worry gacha rate in this game are very generous and they have wishlist system). You will have the time that you cant get past certain chapter due to your team power. This game have meta team if you have meta team you will get through the chapter quicker than other team. My advice for new player is you have to be patient. keep upgrading your team update your wishlist for meta nikke. Or just watch video on youtube if you really want to know more about next chapter that you cant get past. If you looking to start playing i suggest to get start at the Evangelion collab, The event start tomorrow. They will give you a lot of free pulls and resources to level up and jump start your account.

I would recommend that if you want to enjoy the story, I would react to a video of the story chapters themselves. The game is GREAT however there is a major barrier to entry called the 160 wall that stops a lot of new players and it does gatekeep late game content and story. So if you are planning to be F2P, I would recommend checking out the stand alone story itself unless you have the time to get passed the 160 wall. If you plan on tackling the 160 wall, you will need 4 copies each of 5 different SSRs, but the game has several mechanics and relatively reasonable rates to get passed that barrier, but it's definitely not for everyone. I would recommend doing some research on how to get passed the 160 wall before committing to end game story. But as a veteran player of this game, it was worth it for me.

@@Trailblazer_Ririna It isn't too bad compared to some other gacha games because of the wishlist system on the permanent banner that cuts down on duplicates you don't need and perhaps most importantly, the Permanent SSR units that aren't Pilgrims can be obtained (at a lower rate of course) from the Friend Point system for actually free which I have never encountered until this game. So eventually you WILL get passed it, but depending on luck, you could get it out of the way quickly, or be stuck for some time. The Anniversaries and Half Anniversaries also tend to get a free SSR unit that you can use to break the 160 wall as well (4 copies of that particular character if you play the whole event). Either way I recommend looking into your options and find what works best for your schedule and your budget.

If you're not going to play it, its totally fine. But, you can check out the story on KZbin, its an incredible anime experience. I believe its very worth it just going through the story and I think many people would love to go through it again with you. Some of the event story are a must watch, especially the voiced ones. If I can recommend, the japanese dub is quite nice.

If u r going to play, it would be best to stream the whole chapter 1 (tutorial) for a reaction video. Actually I am bingewatching d reaction videos and bumped to ur channel Also, all u need is to focus leveling up random 5 SSR characters only as they have this function to sync d level of the 5 characters to all other characters u pulled. For difficulty, there is this lvl 160 wall they say. Once u passed that, u may get smooth sailing. Mini games, not every event has mini games. Only the major event ones. (Probably every other 2 events) such as the upcoming Evangelion collab For free pulls, they are very generous on their half anniversary / whole anniversary.

Yep! I think I'll do that. It's nice that we just need to focus on leveling up random 5 characters only though since building is something I get exhausted by easily. Knowing how my luck was with Blue Archive and Arknights and basically, every gacha game that I tried, I'm just gonna go with my usual tactics. One 10 pull for each banner I'm interested in after the first massive pulls for the first stream. haha

Though summer and Christmas Nikke characters had been re-run. Collab characters never been rerun, I guess due to licensing.

Oh! Oh Ririna I can't stop recommend you play this game. YES Nikke has fan service quiet a bit, but is not so much it distract from other parts of the game, This a very story driven game with a lot of style, and yes the music is one of the stronger points, I can asure you would find at least one or two nikkes that fit your taste. I can't say much because of spoilers but Try the first chapter and you know if you like it or not(you probably would) OH yeah! this game is a bully to my feelings...

I love the fan service. It's the best part for me. I love my waifus. But the story, OST and the characters are really good too I suppose lol. I came for the fan service and stayed for the fan service. To each their own. This game knows it core main audience which is a straight make audience or just people that love cute anime girls with fan service plus an amazing emotional story is a bonus.
