He is apart of a very strict and controlling religion ( highkey cult vibes ngl ) that does not like outsiders and only dates/marries other members from a very small approved group but I didn't find out until much later after I'd been around him awhile and already caught feelings. He'd always be jealous if we got together because there was real emotion between us. Yes, it does resonate. We knew each other before he married, had children, the children grew up, and he divorced! It was an old flame that never truly died.
