I have a nuanced opinion on this. Yes people always should be respectful of other people's culture, but that being taken into account, I hate the cultural appropriation argument, especially in music. Music is a universal culture. It's Human. It can't be hijacked. So I don't know the source of the Justin Timberlake debate, but I think he is dope AF. Maybe someone can educate me on the topic. I also think Prince is one of the greatest musicians and entertainers of all time, bar none. My opinion doesn't change if Prince didn't like Timberlake.
