Godly Grief Produces a Life Without Regrets - James Jennings

Godly grief produces a specific response to our sin; such as an eagerness to clear ourselves, and a righteous indignation against our sin; a vengeance to cut it off because of how it is dishonoring the Lord. Paul says that godly grief produces this repentance which leads to salvation which is to be without regret. We see here that a life lived with godly grief is a life lived without regrets. Anytime we have worldly grief, our response is that which we regret. It is that which we look back on and say “I wish I would've handled that differently.” Yet if we are grieved of how our sin dishonors the Lord, than our response to our sin will be one in which we have no regrets.
