1:53:50 Purple hair girl is Sumire from Boruto. She is from the same class as Boruto and Sarada. Like Naruto's class the characters have their own specific outfits and hers tend to be like...that. She was covered in an anime only arc. I'm a fan of all of Naruto so I don't interact with the fanbase so I don't know if anyone hates her. I know people dislike how risque the Boruto female outfits can be though.

13:00 - I prefer the SAO: Abridged version for the villain motivation. In there, the "people dying" thing was a bug caused partially due to time crunch and bethesda not allowing him to delay launch. So he ends up locking people in the game, partially because he's sleep deprived and he just needs to stall for time to figure out what he can do to fix everything.

Oh the Earthsea drama. Yeah, that wasn’t his son’s fault. That trash fire was Miyazaki’s fault. Once he finally wore LaGuin down he merged all the books into one giant mess. Also, just to point out, Miyazaki tends to skin suit other people’s stuff for his own purposes. Howls Moving Castle is the example of using someone’s else’s work to push his own message. I’m glad his son got redeemed with Up on Poppy Hill.

SAO has a lot of good concepts and pieces of interesting world building but has really mediocre story/storytelling (also the anime skips a lot of information like how his full reasoning about Kayaba's identity or how he got his password)

The Alfheim arc in SAO is even more effed up then what they told here. Thank god i ran into spoilers before watching it. Se*ual violence as a plotpoint is something i can't stomach and i avoid those shows like the plague. The villain has the ability to return to the real world at will where he is Asunas doctor, all in SAO are in a coma. The reason he waited to grape Asuna was because he wanted to do it in front of Kirito. He would record the act. Go back to the real world to grape her comatose body while replaying her screams. Kiritos sister is also trapped in the game and there hints the villain was going to do the same to her. The games are really good and never mentions the bad things that happened in Alfheim. Ironically the only bad game is the one based on Alfheim.

So his sister gets trapped in the source material? Because that isn't in the anime. I watch the anime, and the sister is just another player of the game everyone else is playing. Doesn't even know that she meets and parties up with Kirito at first.

@@bluesky896 Since i stopped watching the anime just before Alfheim my knowledge about the sister is what info i gathered in the games. His sister willingly put herself in a coma to search for him. She never revealed her identity (because she wanted him to fall in love with her?) until much later. (this bit i'm uncertain about but i seem to recall that her forcing herself into a coma made her memory fragmented) In the games it is revealed that the villain knew her true identity. Kirito is an airhead so he didn't figure it out and i don't think viewers were outright told but there were slight hints. The games are considered canon so info in them should be correct but writers can't remember every tiny bit of lore so of course there could be deviations.

Not everyone is trapped in ALO, only a few select people from SAO, like a couple hundred, one being Asuna. Kirito is out and his sister is just playing it for fun to try and relate to him.

@@Lazy_Viking sounds like a rewrite. She is just playing the game, and happens to run into Kirito when first starts the game. From there, they party up, and it isn't until he says something that makes her realize it's him. Neither of them know the other is playing. The sister starts falling in love with Kirito, who she doesn't know is her brother, so when she finds out, it gets awkward. The only forced coma stuff happens to Asuna and other people who didn't wake up. I had to look up to be sure, but the antagonist is Asuna's fiance picked out for her by her parents. Turns out he is a monster, as he keeps Asuna and a few hundred minds trapped for testing mind manipulation tech or something of the sort. As far as the story goes, it has its problems but the characters were likable enough.

The difference is Americans constantly and annoyingly BRING UP racism, European racism is mutually understood and accepted. I don’t have any strong feelings one way or another towards Romani on account that there aren’t any near me. The only one I know was adopted and I got along with him just fine when we were kids. He did however turn into a bit of a bum when he got older so he’s not really beating the allegations.
