I'm so happy to see both of you! I periodically checked over the years to see if I missed a video. You've made my day! I live in a typical midwestern USA suburb. It's exactly as you said. My husband was born in Germany and lived there till he was 14. (We're married for 44 years) I've been fascinated with the city living you have described for more years than I care to admit. It's just not possible here. You can be proud of yourselves for doing what's in your heart and not adhering to what society says you should be doing. Very much looking forward to seeing you again!!!!

thank you so much Cindy. It’s not always easy in the moment, but oh we enjoy it so much now😊 Hope you get to go to Germany sometimes for a little bike/walk city life😀

It is wonderful to see you both again. You are wise to realize the burden a house can be before it weighed you down too much. Hopefully you hit the boom in the market when you sold. I am looking forward to seeing more videos about ways of downsizing and will also be subscribing to your other channel. Welcome back. You were missed.

Good to see this. I can relate to the whole house/apartment decision. Hope you found living without car ownership as liberating as we did.

Welcome back. I do miss this channel. I remember you guys gave good financial advice and tips. In America, my country are experiencing the worst inflation, and we are just surviving. I'm praying to God for a miracle. I remember your son was a baby. How time flies. I hope your family are safe. Thank you for the update. Much Love.

Inflation over here is also crazy and energy bills are really hard on people in areas with gas as their main heating sourse😢 I hope you make it through.. these are weired times we live in, and sadly no sighn that it’s going to let up any time soon, at least not in Europe🙄 I wish you a merry christmas

So good to see your lovely faces again. The house does look lovely. But homes and gardens are SO much work. We should be downsizing at the end of year into an apartment from a large 4 bedroom 2 story home - I can't wait. We are the same only using a few rooms of a big house.

So great to have you back. I was worried about you! Glad to see you've been living and learning - - that is, learning good things on your own terms, keeping it real and sticking to well thought-out principles... Blessings on all your new ventures! 😄🤗😘

So great that you're back ! Looking very much forward to your videos and the content is right up my street 😊 We always hesitated to buy a house for exactly the reasons you described - we never did but sometimes we have doubts if it was the right decision. From what you describe I feel it was good, not to go down that road, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! All the best 🌸

Never stop doing what’s best for your family. ❤ God has a great plan for each of you and following Him instead of what the world tells you to do is always the best course. So glad to see you both well and setting good boundaries for your life. Stress is very toxic.

Thanks Marilyn💚 It hasn’t been an easy journey, but we are so grateful for where we are now and on the other side of all the stress!!😅 Stress is indeed(sounds like the perfect word for that sentence😂) VERY toxic!

How has making your own clothes gone? Do you still have the sweater you knitted?
@Godownsize2 жыл бұрын
Yes:) And I talked about mending it in my newest video.. I still love it, I now have one more and am currently working on 2 more, then I'll have something to mix it up with.. wearing 1-2 sweaters becomes a bit boring haha:)

What is a cargo bike? I have a regular bike and a scooter 🛵. Feel good to keep a smaller footprint
@mfstorgaard2 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcia, it’s a bike with a trunk part in the front, often with seats for 2-4 kids.. whey are very popular in Denmark instead of having a car😁
