What do you think about the M600R Vs. something like the Aputure LS 600c Pro II? NOTE: Right now this light is on a massive $800 off sale for the holidays! geni.us/godoxm600r

If I a not mistaking - MKBHD uses enormous like 50 inch flat rectangular ARRI panel light for his videos in one of his studio locations )) He justifies this because he sits with a room-wide open window behind his back

Whatever he does looks great, so I can't complain, haha. Trying to light a set in a room surrounded by windows letting in ambient light would be a difficult, and expensive, task :)

Thank you for reviewing this. Would you know if some of the bowens mount accessories designed for the 600bi work for this model such as the fresnel?
@NewLayer28 күн бұрын
I believe the M600R accessories are unique (I know the Fresnel is) since the COB sits farther back in the housing. I'm sure the daylight/bi-color version would work, it may just not be optimal, or the exact degrees listed on the lens.

@@NewLayer Awesome, thank you. It seems that way.

i thought i was the only without the tightening knob! i you figure out a way around it? I have been using the screw from the mounting yoke
@NewLayerАй бұрын
No way around it but to just use one from another light or buy one unfortunately as far as I know. Do you mean the circular screw/knob mostly meant for the safety wire/harness?

I don't understand why this is double the weight vs the Aputure 600C II or even the M600B. Any Ideas?
@NewLayer19 күн бұрын
It's obviously heavier, although not quite double (different websites/brands list the weight of these lights with/without the yoke, reflector, etc). I can't say for sure since I didn't design it, but I would say it's heavier than the M600D/B because of the removeable yoke, plus it has internals for the powered accessories, and a different, stronger design for heavier accessories like the parallel beam modifiers. The RGB on this light is very bright, so, I'm sure there's also more electronics involved to handle that, which makes the housing bigger as well, etc. Whether or not it's justified or a good/bad thing, is up to you!

Hmmm… I’m confused what’s different from the m600b and the r… Is it just the fact that it’s RGB and MUCH larger??
@NewLayerАй бұрын
The RGB support (including tint control), recessed COB, detachable yoke (and its rubber grips), no integrated v-mount slots on the controller, powered accessory port, reflector with housing that supports filters etc... I think that's all the main stuff.

@@NewLayerso twice the weight for RGB and same output? That’s where I’m a little hesitant
@AnthonyRodriguezzАй бұрын
@@NewLayerI’m just wondering what the “big difference” was that warranted the video as you mentioned at the beginning.
