Make sure your XProII L and the flash heads are updated to the latest firmware to get TTL functionality on the Leica SL system! Mine wasn't working until I resolved this.

I am very disappointed, I bought this trigger for my Leica Q2 and Sl2-s and I was surprised when I saw that it works perfectly with the Q2 but only at 1/250s max with the Sl2-S. I don't understand why it works with the SL2 and not the Sl2-S. I asked Godox for an eventual firmware update and this is their answer: "Now we can't tell you for sure that there must be firmware to solve this problem in the future, but our technicians have already learned about this problem, and they also need time to study to see if there is any solution (such as updating the firmware)" The Profoto Connect Pro works with the SL2-S so why not the Godox? ☹

Nice. Will the shoe on these every be made of metal or harder plastic? All the generations before were plastic and the shoes break so easily. Or even make a case for these would help.

The shoe is a metal base plate with a plastic self-locking mechanism. And as you mentioned that the generations before were easily broken, we will keep upgrade our products!

This product does not, repeat does not work properly on the Leica SL2-S in the TTL mode. Both the trigger and remote strobe say they are in the TTL mode. However, when the shutter button is pressed the flash only emits a weak flash rather than a TTL flash.

Same experience. It does't work with SL2S in TTL or HSS modes. Only work on manual mode.

You only need a trigger for Leica. My flashes are for Olympus and Fujifilm from Godox, they worked seamlessly with the Olympus/Panasonic trigger for my Lumix S1R. I only need to buy a Leica trigger to use the same flash for Leica.

@@bwest6275 Hi. I have not tested with this new trigger. HSS does not work on my Nikon version that I am using with M240. I read that this Leica trigger does not work with HSS on M240 either. Godox triggers works with any of their strobes. On my M I have personally tested 3 versions of the regular trigger and all work fine when you set the shutter speed to the sync speed.

I noticed that the Leica Q-P is not part of the cameras supported by this model at this moment. Q-P is very close to Q2, hopefully it couldbe supported via a firewell update. The price for the new XProII is about two times of the current version for Olympus/Lumix, but still a fair price for a trigger.

Mine is waiting for me at my doorstep when I get home from work. I have the official Leica (*cough*Nissin*cough*) air remote wireless trigger for use on my Nissin MG10 & MG80 flashes. With that trigger, HSS is only supported in TTL mode. Perhaps the same is true with this Godox trigger? I’ll have to try it out when I get home.

Whelp! I was able to test the trigger on my SL2-S. HSS only…ONLY…works in TTL mode. I tried a bevy of different camera and trigger settings and HSS only works in TTL mode. It’s no different than the official Leica (*cough*Nissin Air 10s*cough*) trigger, which is a shame. Hopefully there will be a firmware update in the future that will bring HSS compatibly to M mode.

@@azerustv3784 The flash trigger is currently at Firmware Ver. 1.2. My Leica SL2-S was updated to Firmware Ver. 4.0 (was released a few days ago). Nothing different. HSS only works in TTL mode. I believe this has to do with Leica’s flash protocol. Until Leica fixes their flash protocol, then HSS will only work on TTL with third party wireless triggers. If you use an official Leica flash mounted to the camera, then HSS will work on Manual flash mode. If your looking for wireless flash, then you’re limited to HSS in TTL mode only.
