Very good update. I think it's great that it has 100W. The only thing I'm not clear on is whether you can easily enable and disable group M (master) when this flash acts as a controller. In the case of the old V1, you can see on the same screen M A B C, and you easily control the master flash and up to three slaves. Here it seems that the M group has disappeared and is controlled from the menu, which seems to me worse in terms of usability.

It's totally ok. You can still do a lot with that and with time and savings, you can increase your skills, your rates and also end up making a wonderful V1 as your secondary speed light. Plus I reckon this one might suck battery a bit more than the V1 if it's the same battery being used. Also, also, you can consider buying it after seeing long term reviews and hopefully the price going down a bit. Or of you really can stretch the GAS(been there too brother) you can buy it after the V100ii comes out and you've seen all the long terms reviews of this one.

I wonder who thought it was a good idea to have a touch screen flash. For run and gun professionals we need buttons since we memories how to press the buttons to change groups and power levels, how are we to do that by using a touch screen. It works for the menu bit not for the operational buttons. I think this is a good flash bit we need a pro version minus the touch screen. The touch screen will definitely slow down an event photographer.

It should say that S2 mode is only available in TTL. In Manual mode, there's no pre-flash to ignore.

Ive had some problems with my v1 on my sony camera, sometimes it tends to misfire, i have to turn off and and hook it from the hot shoe and remount it, is this a problem with sony?

How´s compatibility with an EOS R5? Can I control the flash with the camera´s menu, like a Canon flash? Can I control groups within the camera´s menu? Does it support ETTL?
