About Mauro Biglino
Translator of 19 books of the Old Testament with Edizioni San Paolo, the scholar in ancient languages Mauro Biglino stood out in the eyes of the general public from 2010 with his outstanding literal reinterpretation of the Bible, expressed in a series of best-selling essays.
His work has won over aficionados, scholars and all sorts of readers. His books take the reader by the hand and - free of any preconceptions or theological filters - accompany them through a fascinating narration of biblical verses, which are analysed in their original form in ancient Hebrew.

As an Italian I am very proud of Mauro conducting this whole interview in English. He is very very literate and fluent in Italian and a pleasure to listen to, its too bad he has to convey his thoughts in a second language which may make them see diminished. but BRAVO MAURO!

The man should be given his flowers now because he's a better archeologist and scientist (untrained at that) than just about anyone we have now. Mauro Biglino has done conferences mainly in Italy but also in Europe since the past 13 years at least. His work gathered more and more attention by the public and then also mainstream media in Italy. I'm so happy to see him finally crossing the borders of Italy and reaching a wider audience with this interview in English language. He is one of the biggest anthropologist of our generation and he deserves millions of views. He has been a source of inspiration to me for so many years. Actually that's not entirely true, Biglino studied the language many years ago. Reading books in English and listening to English-speaking authors has always been an essential part of his work, expecially since he became a public figure in 2010. What he meant is he never practiced speaking it until recently.

@@enomisitnoc3653 Biglino **is** a conspiracy theorist and a fraud, and the Vatican has nothing to do with it. Anyone who has a modicum of knowledge about this matter will tell you how ridiculous he is with all his aliens, his spaceships, his launch pads for rockets, genetic engineering, and so on. The Vatican either doesn't know who he is or it doesn't care in the slightest, because he has done whatever he wanted, he even appeared a few months ago on the main channel of the Italian State Television (Rai 1) speaking about biblical aliens. For years he has been free to publicly talk about the Bible with catholic priests who evidently were not forbidden to do so by their superiors.

Wonderful! Two legends in conversation. Mauro is right when he refers to the editorial notes of the New Jerusalem Bible which concede that "The Almighty" or "Almighty God" is an inaccurate or false translation of El Shaddai. In my latest book "The Eden Conspiracy," which touches on my collaboration with Mauro, I go into this controversy and argue that the root meaning of the words El Shaddai is "The Powerful One, the Destroyer," a character who goes to great lengths to prove himself worthy of the name. This meaning is referenced and dramatised in the action of the Bible itself. I also want to support Mauro's point about Yahweh requiring child-killing. If we are to believe the narrator of the Moses narratives, of I Samuel 15, and the book of Ezekiel, Yahweh many times required the slaughter of women and children and got rid of those of his deputies, eg King Saul, who wouldn't do it. What Mauro says here is well known at an academic level. The scandal is that this information is not transmitted from academia to the rank and file of communities of faith. The Christian concept of God is of a pure, loving, transcendent being the source of the cosmos and everything in it. There is no word for that concept in the Hebrew Scriptures. The word Yahweh came to be understood that way, but in the beginning of the Hebrew Scriptures it was used to denote one of the elohim (powerful ones) one of a number subordinate to a being referred to as El Elyon. Clearly that is something quite different to the Christian God-concept. I agree with Graham that the Atlantean cataclysm was the cataclysm at the latter boundary of the Youger Dryas Cold Period. My books argue that many of the world's creation myths are actually the cultural memory of the recovery or rehabilitation of civilization of Earth after that flood event. Survivors on high country which had not been inundated can be found in Filipino narratives, Mesoamerican, Mohawk. The proximity of Mount Ararat to Karaca Dag is also notable. According to research in 1998 by the Max Planck institute and the University of Norway in As, Karaca Dag is the point at which our ancestors "mysteriously," "suddenly" learned the secrets of agronomy and animal husbandry. It's proxmity to Gobekli Tepe supports Graham's argument that our great leap forward was facilitated by visitors who may have been the survivors of a previous civilization. I would go further regarding the Ark of the Covenant which presents itself in the Bible as, among other items, as an ancient technology. The writers did understand it as a weapon and as a device for remote communication. The Urim and the Thummim similarly. We have the ruach / kavod (Ezekiel uses the words interchangeably.) Its operation as a passenger-carrying flying device is detailed in the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel also references advanced weaponry, such as the keli mappasow and the keli mashetow, which apparently enabled six individuals to ethnically cleanse a whole district. (So yes, elohim had vices!) I am with Graham in suggesting that altered states of consciousness play a part in the Biblical narratives concerning contact experiences. The use of Kaneh Bosm oil in the high priestly ceremonies, the out of body experience of Apostle Paul in the New Testament, for instance. My books argue that before the great redaction of the C6thBCE Judaism was a canon of memory of contact with and colonisation by other civilization, and was not a body of texts teaching monotheistic worship and obedience to law. For me as for Mauro the key to this previous world comes down to questions of translation: what do the words mean?! So much more to say, but I will pause there. Am just feeling fired up by seeing these two great scholars in conversation!! Thank you Graham and Mauro for meeting and sharing.

El-o-him is the same concept of (L)or(D) (Light or Dark). You see, these masters and teachers were also known as serpents (meaning to move forward because snakes cannot move backwards). The reason why much of this knowledge is kept from us and hidden is because the original serpents or dragons or Elohim were black people. They originated from Africa... and what people fail to realize is that Egypt is in Africa as well. This is not to make things about race, however it is significant in history because there was 12 leaders in which divided the world into quadrants (imagine putting a cross on a world map) and each ruled there own territory. They were all from the same bloodline though. You see, up north they call these figures druids, which had power over vikings. This is why vikings also would carry the symbol of a dragons head. In South America they were feathery serpents. And they are described in other places all over the world. When archaeologist recognized that so many of these artifacts were built of black people, they destroyed it and dismissed it because it does not align with their view on which people occupied which lands. Again not to make this about race, but it is the explanation why even Jesus was persecuted by Orthodox Jews. Because they either did not recognize him as one of them, or because his ethnicity and origins threatened there hierarchy. I could also talk about how many Orthodox Jews translate the Talmud in racist ways or how King Herod wanted to kill every infant Hebrew male because they all had the birthright, but the main thing is that- the Bible is based out of the Middle East and Northern Africa, and people from those areas were black people. Plain and simple. Once we as a society accepts the truth about our fellow black people and people of Africa, it is no longer a "race" of the races. We are all human beings and should strive to learn the truth, not to oppress people out of jealousy, fear or envy.

I always asked but never get an asnwer about Qurán? Is it the same as the Bibles? What comments do you have about Qur'an?
@lxconic
@lxconic Жыл бұрын
@@LaliEri1989 Good question. The Quran is similar to the Bible in the ways that it talks about similar figures such as A-b-ra-ham, Jacob(Is-ra-el) and Moses. However, the Bible is more keyed in on a specific lineage of Jacob. The Quran is geared towards respecting monotheism and upholding a certain behavior. We also have to recognize that these two texts were written in separate empires. It's estimated that the Bible was written over a period of 1500 years, so empires such as the Assyrians and Greeks continued to add to it and change the language of it. The Quran was written by followers of the prophet Muhammad in a time when most people in the Middle East were separated into tribes and lived somewhat nomadic. So, to give a short answer a long reply, they both offer wisdom in their own respects. However, the language differences and regional differences require us to have to examine them as two separate holy scriptures. The Quran will teach you how to live righteously, the Bible will teach you how the law came about. Not to say that both do not do this, but to say that they are different focal points.

He had to, because in his field (Hebrew and biblical studies) the vast majority of academic and reference works are not available in Italian. Just consider that until recently there was no major Hebrew dictionary in Italian. Biglino had to use editions such as the "Hebrew and English Lexicon of the Old Testament" by Brown-Driver-Briggs.

So so fed up with people who call themselves "experts" telling people they are stupid or flat wrong or invalid. It's ridiculous to think you know everything and to avoid or reject debate, discussion and criticism just shows that it is they, the "experts" are ignorent and pathetic. In my humble opinion. Graham, Mauro, you both are treasures to the world and will go down in history in the group of pioneers of knowledge! What you have done for the wprld will be celebrated i am 100% sure!

Actually that's not entirely correct, Biglino studied the language many years ago. Reading books in English and listening to English-speaking authors has always been an essential part of his work. What he meant was that he never practiced speaking it until recently. He was probably a bit nervous during this interview and didn't know how to properly say that.

Don't waste your time with this charlatan. I'm from Italy and unfortunately I have to admit he's a national embarrassment. He lied all the way through this interview, starting with the claims about his former ties with the Vatican which are a complete fabrication. He's only a self-taught guy who knows how to manipulate inexperienced people. He's also a felon convicted for financial frauds, a conspiracy theorist and, most importantly, an "ancient aliens" theorist, although he denied this last aspect by repeatedly lying to Graham and his son.

Although I see that Mauro Biglino changed his mind about who the Elohim are. Here he says that they are humans 30:05, while in his books he considers them some kind of Extraterrestrial creatures, I'm a bit conflicted. perhaps this was a mistake due to his poor English.

@@robertocurci9149No, Biglino lied intentionally. It's true that his English is awful but he understands it much, much better that he speaks it because for decades he's been listening to English-speaking authors and reading their books and papers in their original language. He also studied Hebrew on Hebrew-English dictionaries because until recently there was no major dictionary available in Italian. He therefore perfectly understood the questions Graham and his son repeatedly asked him about the origin of the elohim. If you want further proof, he was recently interviewed in English on the Pari Center channel and he clearly stated that the elohim were not human. So, why did he lie to Hancock? Because Biglino is an opportunist with no moral compass. He knew that Graham doesn't agree with the ancient aliens hypothesis and he wanted to please the illustrious guest who's given him access to a worldwide audience. And that's not the only lie he told in this interview: Biglino has lied throughout his career and here we can listen to a good chunk of his repertoire, including a new lie he's come up in the past year to boost his international career.

Actually that's not true, Biglino studied the language many years ago. Reading books in English and listening to English-speaking authors has always been an essential part of his work, expecially since he became a public figure in 2010. What he meant is he never practiced speaking it until recently. Even his Hebrew skills are not that great, just enough to do interlinear translations which are not actual translations but merely rough drafts for didactic purposes. He doesn't speak Hebrew at all and the Jewish community in Italy has often bashed him for his gross mistakes.

@@gregoryshawn100 I presumed he had been engaged reading and listening to English for many years, but I know from my own experience learning a language that speaking it is another skill. The Italian guy is a con artist, he deliberate lies. He never worked for the Vatican, he never made any actual translation of the Bible but merely rough drafts of a few sections of it designed as didactic tools for beginners of Hebrew. And he didn't even make them all by himself: he just provided a preliminary version to his supervisor who then revised and refined them. By his own admission he only took twenty private Hebrew lessons as a hobby when he was in his early fifties. Then he rehashed seventy years of "ancient aliens" theories and became famous in Italy because of that. He has shamelessly copied everything from charlatans such as Sitchin and Rael (read about Raelian movement and you'll see). He's such a liar that in this interview he repeatedly denies his work about aliens in order to please Graham who doesn't support that hypothesis. He's also a felon convicted for massive financial frauds that left hundred of families broke, including elderly and disabled people.

Escaping from Eden is not by Biglino but by Paul Walis. At any rate it makes no difference: both of them are frauds who have shamelessly rehashed the ancient aliens theory. In addition to it they have invented a conspiracy theory about "false" translations which is a very clever marketing strategy but any first-semester student of Hebrew would easily recognize it as a bunch of lies. Having said that, any rational mind knows that the Bible is just one of the many texts created by the human imagination and not at all an account of a real God's words and actions.
