Village chief never care about anyone, he didnt just traiend the child, he murdered kids parents and kidnapped him to use him as tool. he groomed him, raised him as soldier, a soldier who only finish mission and thats it, he didnt teach those things for Gabimaru, its for them to obey orders and if he care about his daughter, he wouldnt burn her face and treat her like trash. he is one of the worst kind of person.

These villains have big Full Metal Alchemist vibes. The Tensen are basically the Homunculi, responsible for harvesting humans for energy, while the "master" has yet to reveal himself.

My theory is that when mei attacked gabimaru with Tao, that yellow glowing energy, it may have unlocked it within him. Similarly to how nen could be activated in HxH after you’ve come into contact with it.

For those interested in reading along with the original Hell’s Paradise manga, this episode 9 adapted the remainder of chapter chapter 22 (3/19 pages), and all of chapters 23-26. This is equivalent to reaching the end of tankōbon volume 3 of the manga. This season will likely adapt up to around chapters 43-44 (i.e. 70%-80% of tankōbon volume 5).

So gabimaru's fire ninjutsu use the bodies oil and ignite it. Similar to how luffy Accelerate his blood to increase strength it both feeds on energy. See how gabimaru couldn't use it before, then on the brink of dead he can? It's because he doesn't care if he died then.

The mystery of Mei is, SPOILER ALERT... There are actually 8 Tensen and Mei was the first of the 7 split off from the main body, she actually helped create the others. Rien (purple hair) was the original and created Mei, then together with Mei created the others. Mei isn't part of the group Lord Tensen because she went against a decision they made long ago and was exiled for it.

I’ve read certain “sauces” where the dudes get turned into women, and it don’t take as long before they do some exploring and indulge in certain acts they didn’t think they would. Speaking of, I wonder, if you could change genders like the Tensen, when would you, if ever? I know a lot of women would if they have to walk the dark streets at night or a long line for the women’s restroom, but being who I am, I’ve never thought about how I might benefit from being someone else, much less another gender or skin color. But it does make me really curious about how others actually think and feel.

18:40 - actually, much of who we are isn't social conditioning, it is hardwired biology. The ways we try to behave today, which is eroding civilization and society...that is social conditioning and us trying to deny biology, which would only remotely work if EVERYBODY operates that same way, an impossible endeavor.

I didn’t said social conditioning. I said social constructs (rules ) and religion being removed that impact your decision making. With them out the way. You can/will act as you desire. There is really nothing to debate about that. Thus you can truly go with whatever your biology is screaming We essentially already agreed on the facts. This isn’t really accurate either. While a lot of us rely on biology, a huge chunk of who we are rely on how we are brought up and society. This is because we encourage or suppress parts of ourselves based off of nurture and society. It’s why, according to experiments, twins with the same DNA but separated at birth will behave very differently entirely based on how they were raised.

Spoilers Gabimaru and aza chobei gain the ability to use the flower tao towards the end in the manga basically giving them the same immortality as the tensen. They become stronger than most tensen by combining the flower tao with their own tao which is fire and steel but they are still weaker than the top 3 tensen. They could probably would number 2 and 3 if they ganged up on them but number 1 is too op. It took the entire squad of remaining criminals, asaemon etc including several people with an advantageous tao over the flower tao as well as a whole bunch of trickery to take out the final boss.
