I love how she enjoys the music! The instruments. That was my first thought when I first heard the song. Love how they all come together. So beautiful! This is my first time seeing one of your videos. I immediately like you both. Going to subscribe right after this comment. You should watch the video of Sully playing the piano to this and singing it. I'm very sorry for your own loss!! I'm not a huge Godsmack fan but after this song I've since listened to all their stuff and found out I like a lot of their songs. Also Sully has his own solo music and he's incredible! He plays with a cello player and together it's amazing!! Btw, I see what you do on screen and I think it's awesome! Awesome song, great reaction!!! This one really got me guys. Having saw first hand the devastation of what depression can do to the mind, this song speaks to me about stopping the stigma of mental illness and suicide, and bringing awareness about these subjects. These things need to be talked about, and not pushed under the rug like they were for so long. I'm just starting to talk more about my brother's suicide, and my own problems with depression. Nice pick Kel!!! I can't wait to hear next Thursday's pick of Queensryche!!! Yeah!!!

I saw Godsmack from the side-stage at the Inkcarceration Festival at Mansfield Prison, Ohio, where Shawshank Redemption was filmed. I got to eat lunch and dinner in the tent with the bands and stage crew. They played this song too. The family friend who got my mom and I backstage passed away last December, but I’ll never forget her for what she did for me and my mom. Great memories.

Ric M here, one other Sully Erna song I love is from his solo album Avalon. He shows his music chops in his song Until Then. He picked an amazing classical string instrument player from Romania and the lyrics are just so chilling and sobering. One that moved me was the lyric “We face another day And distance has come and taken you far away again But I'll see you soon my friend And then I'll sing you my song” He is clearly missing his old friend and cannot get back to them soon enough, it pains him. I can relate with an old friend of mine and the string parts just paint the picture of that.

Hi guys,- this comment is unrelated to the above video but is a reaction to the Wardruna / Aurora - Helvegen video done by you back in August. I just want to clarify a few things for you: The lyrics are actual Vikingr Age lyrics! They are a very famous poem from the Vikingr Ages,- the title Helvegen literally meaning "The Road To Hell",- that not being the Christian hell with Satan and demons and all but Hel - The Underworld - The Realm Of The Dead - ruled by the Goddess of the Underworld Hel in the original Norse mythology. A commenter on the original video has taken the time to translate the lyrics from Norwegian into English so the full meaning of this overwhelming and also very scary song is comprehensable for all non Scandinavian speaking viewers / listeners. One note though: The song is sung in ancient Norwegian,- NOT the actual Old Norse the original lyrics were written down in in the twelfth century on Iceland as not many people today actually speak Old Norse besides Einar Selvik ( the male singer) and Dr. Jackson Crawford, Nordic language professor of the University Of Colorado ( his YT channel is THE go to place for anything on ancient Nordic / Vikningr culture and language ). The reason the song was giving you goose bumps and overwhelmed you is that you were listening to anctual burial hymn from the Vikingr Ages a thousand years ago put into music that is deeply rooted in the melodic and harmonic tradition of the same Nordic area the lyrics were concieved in in ancient times. In other words,- you were listening to actual authentic Scandinavian Vikingr music.
