As a grown man former soldier and former Police officer/Corrections officer but also music nerd and musician myself, im not ashamed to say watching this video from the first to the ten thousandth time now it truly honest to god brings tears to my eyes watching such a diverse group.come together with the same passion and make music and love they journey and the art that it brings!!Godsmack has always been always will be the band i hold closest to my heart through every trying time i ever had.. Overseas all through that being away from family and friends and the freedoms of home, i always kept this band in my headphones as they always to me represented best what we stand for and fought or fight for from this great country.... Honest to God being the caring such awesome people all those guys seem to be it truly didnt surprise me that they were the Band that could put something like that together and touch so many young people with an experience they will likely carry dear with them for the rest of their lives! My 3 year old son has been raised and can sing every word to every Godsmack song ever made. That is what this Band means to me and my household! This video genuinely moved me the first time i watched and every time since... Watching music bring people so diverse together is truly a beautiful thing and no surprise this band is one that did it.. God bless you guys and thank you for always caring more about the fans you touch than the industry and what it brings with it as you all have always stayed true to your kind souls! Sully doesn't believe in God he is Wiccan That actually surprised me 🤔 I've been a fan from get.. I also relate to all of their songs in one way or another. This is the ONLY band that I really like AlLL of their music and words ..❤ I recently found out that his religion is Wiccan because he did an interview a couple year's ago about metal music and the devil, he said in his Wiccan beliefs there is no devil because then there would HAVE to be a God..So he doesn't believe in either. It's more like this, the "good" hearted person puts out Love, understanding and kindness and therefore receives it back 3x (vise versa for bad) respect our planet ect.(some have different versions) I'm Irish and my ancestors believed in that as well (and the rest of them were Catholics) I still love the music and will always be a fan..I didn't get to see them live last year. I'm disabled, the venue was 4 hours away and the tickets were expensive (that's something that truly sucked for me)..I'm the 80's Rocker Chick..😎🤘🤎 I DID however get to see Disturbed , Bad Wolves, and FFDP (the lead singer of Bad Wolves his back story has an incredible truth about his brother) He even has written a song about it, which must have been hard.💔 Last, but definitely not least is 3DG and WOW. Matt does a great job with the Original Adam songs. I was extremely impressed and pleasantly surprised 👍❤ *I also have an amazing support system who helped me with $$$ to be able to go* Each venue whom ALL allowed me to be in the PIT with my son and sister (I would have had to sit alone) let me into the PIT area with my weelchair, my 13 yr old son & my awesome sister 👍❤ I had a handicap area seat and they had PIT because I would have NEVER thought they'd allow me in the pit because of my wheelchair. It definitely was extremely super cool of them 3DG actually were very helpful and also helped to make that happen 😎 When Godsmack came to IL they didn't come anywhere near me. They played in Moline IL ( I would have had to get a hotel and the tickets were super expensive..😒💔) hopefully they will come back to IL and play at Tinley Park, Allstate arena or Peoria Civic Center.. It's still far. I'd have to leave 1 day before and stay with my sister ( Which I did for the othert concerts but the tickets were reasonably priced and my sister lives near the venue) If it's Peoria it's only 2 hours away (hint, hint 😉) To ALL of my fellow brothers and sisters out there be safe, stay healthy. God bless ❤ HELP each other out during this pandemic and trying times..****.especially our elderly, disabled, and youngsters in our neighborhoods and you can do that safely. 🤘💚🤍🧡

Thank you, as the lyrical writer for Godsmack, this was an idea I came up with on my own to attempt to solve the problem that British royalty had successfully sabotaged American musical culture in the 1950s and to try to bring people and families publicly together into the heart of enjoying thought provoking hour long symphonies once again.

@@michellelambert6703that's so awesome!!! Music has been a huge part of my own life, ( I was lead guitarist of a band called immortal malice for 13 years,) and I did my best to pass that on to my children. My oldest especially took that ball and ran with it, playing multiple instruments, being in multiple school honors bands, and rising to drum major of her high school marching band. Next fall she'll join the marching band and the music program at the University of Nebraska. Seeing this brought tears to my eyes. Having met Sully way back in 2001, at Rockfest in Council Bluffs, Iowa, I know what a great guy he is. He stood there and talked to me for a good half hour like we were old friends, and became a huge inspiration for my own musical career, such that it was. I have never commented on a video / song before but let me say this is absolutely amazing and I hope that there are more of these types of videos. I agree totally that music as well as the arts in general (painting, dancing, etc.) are a major and critical important part that should be remain a piece of our lives as well as schools. As with a few of the kids in this video, I've been going through hard times over the last several years because I've allowed life to remove things like music from my life. A couple of months ago I re-found music and that is mainly because of this song and other songs of Godsmack's (though there are of course other bands/artists as well from hiphop to classical to ... 😀). Please Please Please keep on rocking and putting out these monster jams which will live through the ages and will be getting played 30-40-50 years and hopefully centuries from now. Let me just say that music can truly save your soul and take you through the hard times as well as the good times. I truly hope the kids in this video realize this and continue to embrace the gift that is music throughout the rest of their lives as well as their kids and anyone else that their gift touches. Once again ... thanks and may God truly bless not only the people that made this video possible but everyone who watches and realizes the gift that music truly brings to the world.

Some have called it “pop rock” or “cheesy”. It is certainly more hard rock than heavy metal of the early times. But we all change and mature as we age. Every one does it differently. What I will say is that Sully and the boys got hundreds of middle schoolers to take a focused interest in this material. They all practiced hard, and it looks like they did a spectacular job. A few hundred middle school kids doing a mass jam session and coordinated performance of a hard rock song in 2020. No synth, EDM, hip hop, predictive text pop, but hard rock written by the guys who perform it. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Bravo👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
