@@afreakaboucher1316 @Afreaka Boucher yup. I was born in 84 so 90s and even early 2000s will likely be always be my favorite music(or at least the most nostalgic), but I don't understand how people try to say there's no good music today. Even ignoring the fact that older people have been saying that for generations, there is just so much music being made today, of so many different types, that if you can't find something you like you either have very specific taste, only like music you've heard before/have nostalgia for, or just aren't looking hard enough. Though I will say, with rock it is much harder to find bands/songs that I'm into than other types of music(say like rap, which possibly drives me even more nuts when people say, "today's rap sucks"), but I think a large part of that is just the fact that rock, besides being such a broad genre, was just what most (non-pop)music was back then. On top of that, everybody knew the same bands, as there was no KZbin/social media. Your main sources of music were the radio, MTV(and to a lesser extent VH1 which always seemed to play softer/"pop-ier" mucis), or just going to a music store and taking a chance on something, or perhaps listening to the CDs they had playing attached to the headphones that you could listen to for free.

Hell its 11-25-2019----I'm still rockin to Zepplin and Sabbath---masterpieces last beyond our lifetimes!!! Love this band KICK-IT--still be rockin til I die. Turn 70 in 8-20. ROCK will live way past me--all of us.

@Dez Osbourne Thanks so much Dez---glad we have you young fans out there to help keep REAL music alive in the next century.Yes 70 came sooo fast---my head spins, so many great memories I have of seeing most of my hard rock metal favorites live thru out the 70s and 80s---those times can not be visited again except in the review screen in my head. A few are captured on film but nothing compares to LIVE! Enjoy and celebrate your life---it passes way too QUICK!!!!
@jamesschott28704 жыл бұрын
@Dez Osbourne I know what you are saying---a lot of awful shit now that 1979 could not possibly have imagined headed our way. It was a great calm and fun time compared to the garbage happening all around us now. I have said to like minded friends a number of times---I"m sure glad I was young when I was----great almost pinnacle point in time especially for ROCK and ROLL!!! But nothing stays the same and I have talked to a# of young people who feel like you. Try not to despair. I don't feel a lot of positivity about this country's future or the worlds for that matter---more unknown factors more than I ever witnessed in my previous years to this point. As the new generation we older folk hope you young ones will take or make a better environment than we silly self serving ME generation of Baby BOOMERS did -----we really made some great music but really fucked up the last 20 years trying to FIX what we broke Please stay strong young man!!!!!
@jamesschott28704 жыл бұрын
@Dez Osbourne Each generation has its distinction and characteristic of a time they live in---I believe you are an older soul---although I am not very religious----I do know there is something kind of mystical about life. You sound like someone who will eventually ---Lead people because you can stand alone in your desire and belief--and stand outside of a lot that is our current reality. You see how messed up it is----it should never become the new normal. Example----school shootings---as a kid back in my day that was unfathomable---now you hear about people being gun down any where---strangers paying for someones bad day or life. Rock-on Dez---I do its a better place!

I’m 45 and I love going to this bands show. Whenever they come to town and never get tired of listening to them in my car.
Tim Cook Speak not everyone knows all the lyrics. Why can’t some appreciate it when someone likes the song enough to share them that’s how people relate and keep classics going...

In my head I often times feel like the kid in this video, shamed, hated and rejected by everyone. Their hate just fuels my anger and makes me stronger so no one can ever hurt me again.
@kurt77196511 жыл бұрын
***** BS; our anger defines us and you have it too.
@soonok640310 жыл бұрын
yup I went through that stage too. wish I was still strong but not anymore. for me the problem with anger is it can get out of control, my wall has the dents to prove it. I try not to let myself get angry anymore because I never ever want to be anything like my dad.
@soonok640310 жыл бұрын
***** you have a good point and I try not to. I'm mostly a nice person but some people I will always hate and be angry at they are just beyond forgiveness. the "god" thing annoys me. I do respect it, if it works for you that's awesome. it's just not my thing! I get so sick of people trying to "save my soul"! you don't know what I've seen or what I'm going through now. your magic words won't fix me, this isn't the kind of pain you can just pray away. I believed once as a little kid. in a time of grate need I prayed, begged, groveled and I got a metaphorical slap in the face! god is ether dead or has a very sick sense of humor! wow I've got issues! I'm so very sorry, I really shouldn't vent at you like this!!! I really don't mean any disrespect at all!!! don't worry therapy is on my "to do" list. this is so embarrassing I'll probably delete it soon.
