Thank you for your review, which tries to convey emotional memories while minimizing spoilers. On November 3rd, the opening day of "Godzilla Minus One" in Japan was crowded, so I attended the Godzilla Festival in Hibiya for about an hour. About a week later, I watched a show that combined 4DX and ScreenX. Honestly, I never expected a monster movie to move me so emotionally. I was surprised and excited by the power of Godzilla, the king of destruction and the king of monsters, without the negative side of portraying someone like Shin Godzilla. Two weeks after I first saw it, I decided I wanted to watch it again, so I watched it in the regular 2D format, and I was satisfied the second time as well. If possible, I would like to see another show that combines 4DX and Screen X. Incidentally, the scene in which the men salute Godzilla is based on the Japanese interpretation of Godzilla, which shows that Godzilla is not just a monster, but is inhabited by the spirits of soldiers who died in World War II. it can be considered that it originates from the idea of an angry god-like being that represents some kind of curse. "Reptilicus" could regenerate. At the beginning, a piece of him grows into the entire giant monster. If they blow him up, each piece can grow into a separate monster, so they can't use heavy artillery and that also reduces the budget.

Suitmation Godzilla, in fact, DID have this power. It was a critical plot point in Godzilla 2000, to the point the main character gave the mutational power the name 'Regenerator G-1'.

11:31 2001/GMK Godzilla is one of the most evil versions of Godzilla. GMK Godzilla is literally made from the vengeful souls of those who died in WW2 by the Japanese and GMK Godzilla is the God of Destruction who wants to bring death to all of Japan.

Hi babe! Wow, that is awesome. I will add that to my Godzilla Must Watch list! Yamazaki actually mentioned in the Q&A that this Godzilla was inspired by GMK Godzilla. I can see why!

I already knew too much about GMO when I walked into an Alamo Drafthouse theater, but that didn’t stop me from missing important scenes between going to the bathroom and being fixated on the chocolate chip cookies that took 2 years to show up 😂 You probably know by now there’s a black and white version as well. This movie is essentially a retelling of the 1954 Godzilla but with modern day VFX. Everyone has their own preferences but in most cases people are overjoyed by the fact that this is the best Godzilla design they’ve ever seen. . But they now got what they were used to missing which is a compelling human drama in which you identify with the protagonist and other characters. For us Godzilla fans, that is why this film is a dream come true. We owe gratitude to Takashi Yamazaki for giving us this gift every bit as much as we owe gratitude to Peter Jackson for the LOTR trilogy.
