If your using that as a defense to say they are not the same godzilla they switched it one because 2019 was supposed to have a nostalgic feel and those new dorsal plates weren't that popular so they had to use the toho dorsal plates

Heisei and 1954 goji are a different monsters, godzilla 2000 and megaguirus goji are an alternate versions of 1954 goji

Your right about Megaguirus goji being an alternative of the original Godzilla, but the one from Godzilla 2000 is actually a second Godzilla, well according to it’s continuity. I know this may be a coincidence but the one from Godzilla 2000 might have something to do with KiryuGoji, since both of them attacked Japan in 1999.

Godzilla in *Godzilla Aftershock* is Godzilla 2014, Muto Prime destroyed Godzilla's dorsal spines which cause massive amounts of atomic radiation spewing out of his expose back but he in turn killed Muto prime by lifting her onto his back and unleashing devastating amounts of Atomic Energy which fried Muto Prime and vaporizing her in an instant after that Godzilla went back to his underwater lair to heal and regenerate his spines to the ones we see now in KOTM and GvK.
