@Bob Stork that will last less than 100,000 mi it’s not practical,it’s a race engine,that ends up being a waste of money with little to no pay off,only for ppl like you that like to flap their gums and prattle on like they know something when it’s google spouted facts that otherwise you would have no clue.
@hendo3372 жыл бұрын
@Bob Stork not true, Godzilla needs to have the ring gaps opened up to make over 600-700hp safely. There's an S197 Mustang with a twin turbo Godzilla that popped a piston top at around 10psi, they were able to replace the piston, open up the gaps and keep running it and it's one of the fastest Godzillas out there right now.

The R32 GT-R got the nickname 'Godzilla' because of what it accomplished in racing(getting AWD written out of the rules in different road racing series lol), not it engine, not every GT-R, it's the R32. No one says that they "Godzilla swapped" something when they run an RB, they say they did an RB swap. Meanwhile, the 7.3 being a giant small block appropriately got the development name 'Godzilla' because, well, it's the biggest small block(and, thus far, the biggest truck engine) Learn your history, there is no conflict here

Congratulations you have made it quite obvious to everyone on the Internet that you have no clue what you're talking about these 7.3 godzilla engines are called such because it is a fucking huge block
@RyTrapp02 жыл бұрын
@@yzrippin The Godzilla 7.3 is a "big block" just as much as the 7.0l LS7 is a "big block" SB pushrod V8s SBFs (Windsor & Cleveland) - Bore Spacing: 4.380" SBC - BS: 4.400" LSx/LTx(gen 5) - BS: 4.400" SBM - BS: 4.460" Gen 3 Hemi - BS: 4.460" Ford Godzilla V8 - BS: 4.530" BB pushrod V8s: BBM (Gen 2 Hemi) - BS: 4.800" BBC - BS: 4.840" BBF - BS: 4.900" The Godzilla V8 is literally closer to the smallest common small block(the 4.380" SBFs; 0.13" difference) than it is to the smallest common big block(the 4.800" Mopars; 0.270" difference, twice as much), not even in the ball park. REAL big blocks have stock cylinder bores that are larger than the Godzilla V8 can even be bored all the way out to, it's not even comparable. If you don't understand the significance of this in regards to how engines work, how power is made, you probably need to do more reading. I'll put it this way, bore spacing is significant enough that it's a regular performance limiting rule in drag racing. That said, I don't blame anyone that actually thinks it's a big block - the media did a fucking atrocious job of reporting on it. Doubt many of them know what bore spacing even is.

The 7.3 is a good engine but the head flow comparison he makes is not correct. The 7.3 heads can flow about 320cfm which is good in its own right and competitive with many LS heads but the LS7 head, found on the LSX454 he's referring to flows about 350 stock(not 280). It's still early days for the development of this engine and I think once issues like accessories, oil pan fitment and electronic compatibility are ironed out it'll be the engine of choice for Ford guys cringing at the prospect of a LS swap.
