Kong had absolutely no chance. I mean Godzilla is just massively OP. And if Marvel Godzilla isn’t enough to convince anyone, try Godzilla from Monster Strike, Super Robot Wars and IDW Godzilla: In Hell. Monster Strike Godzilla is universal + level cuz he consistently matched kaiju who can create or destroy universes as shown in the games event story. Super Robot Wars Godzilla is low complex multiversal as he consistently matched all the main protagonists mechs from various anime who I will name later. And In Hell’s Godzilla is hyperversal to possibly outerversal. Based on what he did, lore and author statements. But those were massive over kills. Godzilla just from the films alone outmatches Kong.

I did post a review of this animation and the rest of the episode in the comment section of the Rewind Rumble episode, but since you stated that you couldn't read it there, I'll post this here as well (I hope this is OK with you and that I didn't seem annoying with that). Here is my review of this battle animation. Let's start with the negatives so tgat we can get them over with. Godzilla's main sprite comes from the gameplay of the Godzilla: Battle Legends 2-D fighting game (which are also the same sprites found in MUGEN), but in some shots you used sprites from the cutscenes of said game, and even tho all sprites are good, the cutscene sprites clash a bit with the aesthetic of the animation. Same thing goes for the model for the Statue of Liberty. Also, I can see someone being bugged that the first hit in the fight animation got hid from a building, even tho I myself am not that annoyed by it. (big akward silence) That's it. That's all the negatives. Now for the positives. Oh ho ho, this will be good. The fight is well-animated, with good sprites, good backgrounds and good sound design that sells the impact of the hits, but the most important thing is this; the animation understands how kaijus do battle. The attacks are slow and heavy, buildings get smashed during the battle, some attacks have less impact than others simply because both combatants are just that heavy and durable. Also, this fight has a nice 3-D feel to it, especially during the start and when Kong dodges Godzilla's atomic breath (the fact that buildings block the view actually enhances the experience, since it feels as if we are watching the fight with our own eyes). The setup is also great. Godzilla goes through one of his rampages and Kong's human love interest gets killed in the process. Godzilla roars at Kong, either to defend his territory or because he woke up that morning and was pissed, both of which are acceptable. We even get some nice shots that demonstrate the scale and destruction of Godzilla's rampage. Also, I like that there were at specific points adjustments to the sprites so they would convey signs of body language better (both combatants making intimidation poses, Kong takes a moment to breathe when he thinks he won, Godzilla raises his torso and flaps his tail happily after he triumphs). In fact, that also applies to the humans during the setup. This is something that I appreciate about your animations. Every sprite in them has its own unique moves and actions no matter its role and significance in the story that is being conveyed and all sprites feel equally alive. It's great seeing content creators work through the limitations they have and become creative as a result of that. And of course, the fighters themselves feel like real characters with their own personalities and fighting styles and their strengths and weaknesses are highlighted well. Godzilla is stronger and tougher and Kong is faster, more agile and more tactical (when he realised that his punches couldn't hurt Godzilla, he slammed him with the Statue of Liberty). Kong follows a more aggressive approach, where he non-stop attacks, whereas Godzilla follows a more passive-aggressive approach, he doesn't charge at his opponent at full speed, but when he strikes, he strikes hard. The moment of the silence and the build-up for the kill were both great. And that kill. Man, it was a nasty greatly-animated kill. This fight animation is just full of fantastic little details from beginning to end. The water splashing when the kaijus were falling in, the building slowly crumbling as it was being destroyed, each strike with the Statue of Liberty having a different impact on Godzilla (despite the, for most people, obvious outcome, that fake-out was really well-done), the way the animation conveyed the atomic breath's power, the way air was coming out of Kong's nose, the triumphant medieval king music that was playing during Godzilla's victory roar, I could go on and on, but, frankly, it's better to just watch the fight and spot them for yourselves. All in all, this fight was amazing and your passion in your work shows. Kudos.

I hope that is not true cuz Godzilla is a damn hummanity savior who helped mankind several times even tho they blew up his home and almost killed him with oxygen destroyer. For me movie would be The best if: Godzilla battles Kong 2 times. Ape is loosing and villain kaijus appear. Good ones are teaming up, maybe Rodan and rebirth Mothra join them. Enemies are defeated, but Kong dies during the fight. Skull Island becomes Monster Island. Ending is Godzilla, Mothra and Rodan watching all titans coming to Skull Island. Not only Scylla, Behemoth and Methuselah, but also titans we didnt see like Leviathan, Quetzalcoatl, Orochi etc. I wish GvK won't be the end of Monsterverse, it has so much potential like Destoroyah in next movie, Mechagodzilla made of Dagon bones(skeleton from Godzilla2014), prequel showing first invasion of Ghidorah. Anyways lets hope GvK will be really awesome!

Lo que nadie suele tener en cuenta es que Godzilla (además de pesar varias miles de veces mas que un dinosaurio) tiene capacidades regenerativas que curarían cualquier daño que KingKong le pudiera hacer. Aunque eso depende de que versión de Godzilla estemos hablando.

@@juanfisi 1. this godzilla has pointy ears while 2014 godzilla doesn't have any. 2. this godzilla have round cheeks while 2014's are flat. 3. this godzillas head is round while godzilla 2014's head is lineal like the one of a crocolidomorph. 4. the teeths are exposed and in top of that it has two fangs on his superior jaw a thing that godzillas such as the heisei, millenium and probably the 1954 one have in common while the 2014 doesn't have any fangs but rather conical teeth like the ones of a caiman. 5. the way his body looks is more slender while the 2014 looks more fat and robust. 6. the dorsal plates doesn't looks like the one from 2014.

Well I had to masivelly buf Kong size in this animation, so i dont think he would best godzilla in a physical match. Also I dont know why you say he "pulled powers out of his ass" since he always had the radiation beam. And I also dont know why you think Kong would not get shotted. He's just an oversized ape. Godzilla is an actual monster with regenerative abilities. Not only that, but he's got hard ass scales that can shrug off anything from normal missile strikes to actual goddamn nukes. The G-Man literally got a nuke blown up in his face, something that has TREMENDOUS concussive force that basically completely disintegrates anything that's in a mile (probably more) radius of the actual explosion, yet Godzilla did not only not have a scratch on him, he came back stronger. Please, explain to me how an ape whose punches are definitely not on par with that force would be able to even phase Godzilla? And don't give me the "He can use tools!" excuse because let me drop some knowledge on you chief: Structures that are big enough to be used as tools against Godzilla don't have the structural integrity to do so. Fuck, Kong picking up the statue of liberty here? Im-fucking-possible, the statue would fall apart before he could even pull it out of the ground. It's not a solid object, it's a metal frame that's made to just stand there covered in bronze plating.
