I love how they had Ghidorah take over MechaGodzilla and how the first thing he does as MechaGodzilla is start destroying everything showing how evil Ghidorah is and all he cares about is destruction.

In the novel it's implied that Ghidorah took over Ren Serizawas body and is now in human form out in the world which is a cool idea.

What I love more about this movie..is how they portrayed Kong's intelligence..he is not just big giant monster. Also, Godzilla didn't want to fight Kong at this time...he had bigger enemy. Kong realizes that after little girl talks to him. This movie is Godzilla telling us....see I told you there was bigger bad monster. You hit it on hit Godzilla protects above and water...and Kong guards below. From human stupidity lol.

The novel mentions that the CEO actually wanted two skulls because of Ghidorah’s ability to telepathically communicate with its heads, and somehow Alan Jonah acquired a second head and sells it to Apex. One skull is seen used as the “supercomputer” while the other is inside the head of MechaGodzilla

Godzilla knew it was Ghidora the whole time. That's why Mecha-Godzilla blipped on his radar in the first place. Imagine how many fewer people would have died if Kong hadn't made a mess of things. Godzilla 100% would have found Mecha-Godzilla before it was activated and destroyed it. Without the ability to defend itself he would have just torn it apart. That's what he was intending to do..

The Novelization does go into the Ren situation more. Ren was Dr. Serizawa's _son_ and hates Godzilla. Dr. Serizawa was kinda neglectful to Ren, having spent all his time studying Godzilla, to the point where (iirc) Ren compared it to how an older golden child gets all the attention from the parents. Dr. Serizawa dying in king of the Monsters was the straw that broke the camel's back.

There are some additional things to understand about the Kong VS Godzilla fight in the city and then the Mechagodzilla fight. Thet novelization notes that Godzilla and Kong were fighting for MANY hours. So going into the final fight, Godzilla was already very tired and drained of energy. Thus, he was much weaker than he normally would have been for that. Also, I believe it was the youtube channel Gojicenter who did a video explaining Godzilla's intelligence compared to Kong's. And there are arguments to be made that support Godzilla actually being smarter than Kong even.

Despite who won the three matches between Godzilla and Kong people still estimate Kong like he did not stand a chance at all. If you didn't notice during Kong and Godzilla first fight on the aircraft carrier Kong with heavily sedated with a drug that increases with the more adrenaline Kong has in his system. So Kong was able to hold Godzilla back underwater to keep him from biting off his face. In Godzilla's environment where he is at his maximum strength due to him being a amphibian base alpha Titan. Then during the second match in Tokyo the battle scene quick but it lasted at least 8 hours. Godzilla was playing with Kong but it wasn't due to Godzilla being so much more powerful then Kong. It was because they were so close in strength Godzilla decided to wear kong down. With Godzilla knowing he had a endless supply of energy and stamina. That's why it was morning when mechagodzilla arrived. Which also means Godzilla was facing mechagodzilla at lease at 50% capacity and if Godzilla went in there at 100% the battle wouldn't have been so one-sided.

It seems like the same people who debate about Kong versus Godzilla are the same people who argued about Thor vs the hulk. With Kong and the hulk being physically stronger in their opponent. Which doesn't compare to the overwhelming power of Thor or Godzilla. It's just very interesting.

@@nvp8191 Hulk can actually take a blast from Thor's lightning head on and live, Kong can't take a hit from Godzillas atomic breath head on and live. Hell Hulk is more powerful than Kong and would actually be a tough foe for Godzilla.
