Godzilla VS MechaGodzilla - Full Fan Film (2019)

It's Finally Here!! After three long years of working on this project on and off, it's finally here!! I tried to make this fan film as genuinely cinematic as one can when dealing with toys and miniatures, and put in a bunch of easter eggs and references to the G-Films I grew up loving (especially the one this is named after). As you'll be quick to notice, despite the length, there is no human storyline - initially there was one but I found filming with my friends to be kinda difficult, and in the end I decided that I was going to make a G-Film that I would've always wanted to see as a kid - with as much focus on the monsters as possible. It's been a lot of fun to make this, and I'm not certain this'll be my final fan film on this channel, but in case it is, I made sure I put in every ounce of effort to make it the best it could be. That was really frikin good!! The unexpected parts for me were Ghidorah, Titanosaurus getting attacked by MG, and Godzilla almost dying. I'm so glad I watched this and I can't wait to watch more of the stuff you do! Bravo!!! Also, I'm glad you used the GMK version of Goji. That's literally my all-time favorite incarnation!😄

It's here! I have waited for this film ever since I've seen its preview pop up on my recommendations a year ago. Let me tell you, the film is absolutely breathtaking, the cinematography, the effects, and the mood of it all astounded me quite well. Edit: I forgot to mention the Massive Roster of Kaiju that appeared in this one, I thought there were going to be at least 4 kaiju in this one, but Wow 10 of Godzilla's allies and foes

Godzilla fighting two Mechagodzilla's is literally the coolest thing ever. Plus I was really taken by surprise when that Goji was revealed to be MG2. They truly could have killed him had it not been for his allies. This was an amazing fan film man, insta-sub!

This turned out better then expected! A surprising amount of polishing I am seeing here. Glad you added some stakes, something a lot of these usually lack. Kept my interest enough through to the end. But by far the most impressive aspect here is the use of miniatures being done so well. Pretty seamless at times. And very happy about the stop motion segments, love those. You should delve into that a bit further if you can. My only issue at present is seemingly the endless amount of sporadic battles with not much breathing room. inbetween Outside of that though, solid effort. You spent these 3 years well. Keep it up :).

Thanks man! I couldn't help but notice that despite all the different fan films out there, none really seem to understand the techniques that Tsubaraya and Toho used to make our favorite men in rubber suits look huge- low angles and forced perspective. Not to say that I think my work here is even remotely comparable to actual tokusatsu films, but I really tried to do as much of that as I could to add at least some sense of scale. As of right now I have no real plans for another future fan film, but if I do I'd definitely put much more focus on the stop motion aspects. As far as no breathing room, I get exactly what u mean; initially there were scenes written that had a human storyline but I had to cut them because of difficulties with my cast once we started shooting. And at that point I decided that if I were a kid, the G-Film I'd want to see would probably have been something closer to this- just monsters and action (I can't tell you how many times I used to skip through G-Films just to get to the fights, and end up skipping through 4 movies in an hour lol). I see what you mean. Think alot of that gets chucked out of the window most of the time, probably due to a lack of understanding or not being able to physically do it (I tried in the past but could never get it right). Least you know you gave it a go and that goes along way around here. Aaaah, that makes sense. I had a bunch there was meant to be breaks in-between. Sorry you had cast issues. Might be worth looking into again if you ever dive into these waters again. If it's any consolation I had to skip quite a few scenes in my fan film due to time constraints, So I feel your pain in that regard. Lol. And hey, least your fights have seem shred of effort put into them so it's not all losses. Anytime! I always encourage others to keep going because the YT Godzilla commitunty sorely needs it.
