Godzilla didn't have trust issues with ghidorah this time. It was ghidorah who didn't trust Godzilla at first but afterwards they never had issues again. Kong and mecha on the other hand it took them quite a while to start working together

Gotta love how kong in the end then thought he wanted to help mecha out this time (too bad both ghidorah’s and mecha had to die because they still have that representation of being villains in most godzilla films)

There really shouldn't have been much of a match-up here! In fact, I believe this is a mis-match since I'm pretty sure Godzilla could solo this guy with a lightly charged Heat Ray. Clovers' small form was already being bodied by weak grade level conventional arms and was even killed by carpet bombing. Doesn't help that this version of Clover is just a bigger, wider target for Godzilla either.
