Tiamat was mentioned in King of the Monsters, she was hibernating under Stone Mountain until King Ghidorah woke her and the other Titans. She appeared again in the comic Godzilla: Dominion, having claimed one of Godzilla's old lairs and attacking him when he came to investigate it, and she nearly defeated him until he managed to wrestle them both into an underwater cave and toss her on land, stomping on and roaring at her until she submitted and retreated. She was classified as one of the most powerful and aggressive Titans, nearly as strong as Godzilla, and sought to usurp his position, which was why she was absorbing the energy in the Arctic. And like Scylla at the beginning, Godzilla's patience for her antics had run out.

I hope Legendary/Toho gives Mothra her own movie. She deserves it rather than being a side character.

I hope so too, but it's ultimately up to Toho if they'll even permit a Mothra film. And given the direction of the MonsterVerse so far, don't expect a movie without Godzilla or Kong in it.

So fun facts cause I am a Monsterverse nerd! 1. There will be a next movie and it will be more Godzilla focused cause this one was more on Kong. 2. Godzilla likes the coliseum because it reminds him of his home that was blown up in King of Monsters 3. This is the movie where Kong is now officially King Kong If you want great human characters from the Monsterverse, try Legacy of Monsters! It's a great show 😊

I love the natural progression of the bond between Kong and Suko. Even with that "I'll beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker" moment. The fact that Jia was prophesized as a hero who could rouse Mothra from her slumber is amazing, as is her meeting other members of her tribe. Also, I not only lo the part where Kong lobs a rock and creams the one ape in the head, but the "Aw, shut up" punch on the ape annoyingly running his mouth a few seconds before Kong met Skar King, Fun fact: Dan Stevens (Trapper) also played The Beast in the Beauty And The Beast remake.

seeing a whole new breed of Kongs was the best part of this movie but seeing the Orangutan Kong fight against Kong & Godzilla made the movie even better
