The screenplay is by Terry Rossio (“Godzilla vs. Kong” the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series) and Simon Barrett (“You’re Next”) and Jeremy Slater (“Moon Knight”), from a story by Rossio & Wingard & Barrett, based on the character “Godzilla” owned and created by TOHO Co., Ltd.. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric Mcleod, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Brian Rogers. The executive producers are Wingard, Jen Conroy, Jay Ashenfelter, Yoshimitsu Banno, Kenji Okuhira.

Although I know it was a headache and a bad pill to swallow, I would say that Zilla should come back, just as Zilla. I miss that lizard, maybe because it was the first "godzilla" movie I ever saw (godzilla with quotes). But thinking of it this way: the French saw Godzilla in Bikini and after Castle Bravo went to take samples of Godzilla's blood and DNA traces to create their own version of what they foolishly thought was a massive US genetic experiment. Then Zilla comes to light, created by the French, a great reference to the 1998 film. Eventually, Zilla is attracted to Godzilla and confronts him despite being clearly inferior, but by biting and "tasting" him he recognizes himself in Godzilla, and from then on will instinctively follow him as a faithful servant. That would be my redemptive approach to Zilla. Boy would it be cool to see that curious design brought back to the present day. Bringing the faces of Jean Reno or Matthew Broderick I would not dislike it either!

Am I the only person that really likes the Godzilla running? People say it’s unrealistic but he’s obviously evolved and stronger because in 2014 you don’t see him run at. In king of the monsters, Godzilla walks fast to ghidora in the final fight. In Godzilla vs kong he runs pretty slow probably because he was tired but desperate? But here he is full on sprinting and I think the pink glow gives him full energy because he seems to get tired easily in fights

I've been loving the MonsterVerse since 2014 (including Monarch) and I can't wait to see this one as well. Two of cinema's greatest monsters teaming up for a whole movie...I never thought I would ever see that at least not in my lifetime. Me too, I think it's a good evolution of the character. Especially for a more athletic, stronger, and overall, a more capable representation of Godzilla. Additionally, the only complaints seem to be from people who've never seen any other Godzilla, and generally can't come up with a reasonable argument for their position. Also, to an above comment, he's glows pink, so...? I get it something looks cool is subjective, but you're really grasping at straws.
