I think the unfinished CGI is mostly because of the fact that this film mostly takes place in the Hollow Earth, and Adam Wingard has stated that GxK will have some scenes that last for 8 minutes, with no human interruption at all. Not to mention that since it takes place in the Hollow Earth, most locations aren’t just buildings from Boston and San Francisco, and it’ll take place in the daytime. Most giant monster movie like Pacific Rim and Godzilla 2014 take place in the night to hide the rougher CGI, so it’s no surprise that some kaiju look a bit off. Bad CG or not, I hope that GxK will be an enjoyable movie, and that you guys will like it too. I will have to aemit though, Godzilla’s new design looks a bit… weird. In leaked images of GxK toys and in some of the promo, you can see a slightly different Godzilla design. It looks to be like if you took the general blueprint of Legendary Godzilla and added Millenium elements to it. Like it looked kickass, it had green skin, the yellow underbelly that the 2014 design had returned, the dorsal plates were more purple than pink, his eyes weren’t permanently pink, he had canines, it was overall just a better design. Though the one in the trailer has grown on me a bit, I hope that this leaked design isn’t completely gone from the final release of the film.

People need to stop comparing Minus One to GxK. One is meant to be a genuinely good quality film that makes you feel emotions, the other is trying to be an entertaining action movie that you can enjoy and have fun with. If you don't vibe with GxK that's cool but don't ruin the fun for everyone else.

I saw G14 and K17 and loved the direction they were going with it and it seemed like they were doing something unlike Marvel to where the seriousness and ramifications of seeing giant monsters would've felt like in real life, then it lead to something like this film, which is very interesting to say the least.

The only gorilla there who doesn't have the scar king symbol on their chest is the same gorilla who is the only one there with a beard (like kong). YOu can literally also see the baby ape in the background in the right side. So maybe all the kongs were locked in a dungeon slaving away for scar king and no one found them. So everyone thought they were all dead, and you can also see when scar king comes down, Kong is the only ape who didn't look scared. (The scene where scar king drops down at the kongs and then screams)

If Godzilla was more of a reddish pink than just pink I personally would have liked it more, but this design itself isn’t really bad tbh. Also the reason why it sometimes looks like ass is because of the cgi which is probably rushed anyway. I still prefer the blue though.

I would like to take a moment to sincerely apologize for being an asshole on your trailer reaction. I was mad because I haven’t seen minus one had no idea about the differences in cgi and action, so i could barely tell the difference. Now i have seen it i can relate to your opinions on that video and now understand why you all had high expectations. I am incredibly sorry for misjudging and being a shitty jerk.but you have made valid point in both videos and i can agree with them. Now that i have watched the trailer more thoroughly, i can agree that the pink looks awful and should have more red to it. IMO it feels more like a fan film than an actual film being released in theaters. Also, for me scar king (at least from the trailer) doesn’t really feel or look as intimidating as Mechagodzilla or Ghidorah. He doesn’t feel like that big of a threat just looking at him. Bro again with the complaining of the pink color and design Like literally see the the hollow earth has blue energy, Godzilla most likely got his atomic breath from that energy so you guys issue of “oh it doesn’t make sense that his atomic breath turns pink and if he does then he would change his colors from the bombs” which is just….no. That is just dumb. Plus the design sure is is different but it really isn’t the worse thing or that big of an issue. It is literally monsterverse Godzilla just with less weight, more fit and slim. Idk your guys nitpicks and issues are still just not good :/ The only one I can sit there and agree is the cgi in certain shots of the trailer :/
