Jumping headfirst into this system. Purchased *Prelude to Vicksburg, Longstreet Attacks* and *Sedgwick Attacks* a month ago, and have the other eight, including *Shiloh,* on the way. It was the similar system presented in *A Most Fearful Sacrifice* that intrigued me.

Wow, that's impressive progress in a short time! I'd be curious to hear your favorites after you get a chance to explore them. It really is a fun, playable system. :)

That massive map and the potential 24h play time for the longest campaign would take some serious commitment!

I think the full length of the big scenario is probably close to 8-12 hours, so playable in a big day of gaming or a weekend. :)

Thank for the video and a nice dive in. I have this already and after initial reading, I believe after a bit of reading the complexity is a bit higher that 4. I am think average of scenarios is more like 5-6. New players might find it more that some of the other smaller games. But it is still a good addition to the series.

Interesting, thanks for the thoughts. I look forward to digging in and exploring more. Part of my impressions might come from being comfortable with the system, so it might be harder for me to judge.

@@ZillaBlitz I really like the game, some ACW bias could be involved, but would like to try some of the others to see if they are as enjoyable, as well as any little quirks to the system.

No! NO!! I cannot afford any more games about the battle of Shiloh...but I must have them all. It's a weird obsession I have about this fascinating and tragic battle. (EDIT: tragic in terms of # of lives lost...not in the outcome)

Which module would you recomend as an introduction to the Blind Swords system.
@ZillaBlitz
@ZillaBlitz 27 күн бұрын
I've got #8 Grand Havoc and this one. Both seem fairly similar in complexity. I'd be inclined to pick any of the later ones, probably the battle that interests you the most? Having said that, if there is one that is considered the best in terms of gameplay, that might be the best one to get? I don't have that level of knowledge of the system yet, though. Working on it! :)

I have Vol. #10, Sedgwick Attacks, Salem Church. I was not familiar with the Blind Swords system, so I chose this game as it only has one map and one counter sheet with a low number of units. I found the game to be a great introduction to the system.
