I want to go here so badly but I feel like not knowing japanese is going to be an Issue 😢

I've been to Japan. The language barrier wasn't really an issue. There are certain words you should know to make things a little easier (konichiwa, onegaishimasu, sumimaisen, etc.) and Japanese people bend over backwards to be helpful. Plus a lot is written in romanji or engrish, so that helps. If you do your research and know where you're going and how to get there and such, it should be easy. I survived!
