Great video man! Little corrections : 1. One port of the controller can support up to 6 fans not 4 fans 2. You only need to adjust brightness to 75% or lower if you use static white effect, if you use any other than static white lighting effects it is safe to use 100% brightness 3. The SATA cables at 9:09 , only need to plug the main one to PSU (the 4 cables one). The sub SATA with two cables is needed when you use more than 12 fans on that controller to provide extra power and stability.
@KleoYan9 ай бұрын
Hi Axy Studio, welcome to my channel. thank you for your feedback. The uni fan controller capacity or limit is up to 16 fans in total. yes you can have 1 port support up to 6 fans as in bridging mode. If I am to speak as what you've mentioned, "One port of the controller can support up to 6 fans not 4 fans", there are total of 4 ports in this controller and if all are to connect with 6 fans, that will be 24 fans in total which is over the capacity or limit of the uni controller. That is why I emphasis 4 to a port and not more. For your info the two Sata cables are not to provide extra when you have more than 12 fans. Each sata controls different things. one sata is to provide power to the fans and the other is to provide LEDs argb lightings. As for the lighting brightness, yes I do agree with you, but to prolong the life of the LED and not having it to turn yellowish, I prefer to run then at 25% to 50%. Once again thank you for your feedback and to have visit my channel.
@AxyStudio9 ай бұрын
@@KleoYan Yes man, that's correct that one controller can only support 16 fans simultaneously, what i'm saying is that for daisy chain, it support up to 6 fans for one port. So your viewers can have option to daisy chain their 6 fans for example 3 front fans can daisy chained to 3 top fans or 3 bottom fans, not only 4 fans. It is just a nice info if you say one port can support up to 6 fans but the controller can support max 16 fans, so let them choose how creative they be can mix 6+6+4 or 6+6+2+2, etc. Anyway, still very great video man! keep it up.

you answered almost al my questing but i'm not 100% sure so if you could help it will be apreciated: 1- I want to use 2 types of unifan on my case: --- 3 unifan AL 120 V2 on top and I know those come with the controller --- 2 unifan SL 140 V2 or SL infinity 140 on side but in both cases those come without the controller so the first question is, will I be able to run those 140mm fans on the same AL UNIHUB V2 or do I need to get a different controller for those? if so, how do you buy it? because it only comes with the 120mm 3pack and I'm not going to use those. 2- And i'm supposing the worst answer for the first question here, If there is no way to get a unihub for the 140mm side fans, what if I connect the argb cable from the 140mm fans (before converting them to the standart 3 pin) to the SYNC 2 or 4 header on the AL UNIHUB V2? will they work or burn, and the PWM header would have to go on the motherboard but that is no problem
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hello Luisdi, welcome to my channel. If you have the AL120 V2 3 pack fan set that comes with the uni controller, as usual the AL120 V2 fans are to be plug to the uni controller as for the SL140 V2, you can plug the argb to the AL120 V2 uni controller sync 2 or sync 4 but there will be no dedicated SL 120 V2 effects on the L-Connect 3 dashboard. the SL140 V2 argb effects will follow the AL120 V2 effects with limitation. as for the fan load 4pin of the SL140 V2, you can plug directly to the motherboard. If you purchase all AL120 V2 and SL140 V2 individually that does not come with any uni controller. you can plug the ARGB and fan connectors to your motherboard directly (4pin to fan header and 3pin to argb header), of course you wont have fantasic effects as the argb effects on your motherboard is limited. L-Connect 3 application will not work here.

@KleoYan10 ай бұрын
Hi Nguyhen Pacheco, welcome to my channel, yes you can replace these fans to the Arctic Liquid AIO without issues. Now as for the connection. 1) Plug the AIO pump to the motherboard pump header. 2) Daisy chained your radiator fans (AL120 V2) 3) Plug the daisy chained AL120 V2 (7pin connector) to the uni controller. 4) Plug the sata cable from your PSU to the uni controller sata connector. 5) To control the RPM and ARGB of your fans, use L-Connect 3 app. this step is additional. if you intend to use your motherboard to control the pwm speed and argb effects of your AL120 V2, plug the pwm connector from your uni controller to CPU_FAN and the argb from the uni controller to your motherboard 3pin 5volt ARGB header. On L-Connect 3app, just sync PWM and ARGB to your motherboard and use your motherboard utlity to control the fans rpm and argb effect.

Incredible video again, great job ! Small question, let's say I have two 140mm fans mounted on my AIO and 7x 120mm case fans, should I be using two HUBs ? First HUB controlling AIO fans plugged into CPU_FAN Header and second HUB controlling case fans plugged into SYS_FAN header ? What would you recommend, I never used L-Connect to create fans curves I assume I could be using only one HUB and create a fan curve for AIO fans (Maybe). Thanks again for all the insightful information. 🙏
@KleoYan11 ай бұрын
Hi Jean-Charles Paradis, welcome to my channel. It does not need to be so complicated. you can go via this way with one controller 1) Since AL 140 V2 comes in single pack. the cable is of 3pin (ARGB) and 4pin (PWM), Daisy chained your AL 140 V2 and plug the 4pin PWM connector directly to CPU_FAN header. Next plug the 3pin ARGB connector to your AL V2 Uni controller, either sync port 2 or sync port 3 2) As for the rest of your AL 120 V2, just plug as per normal using the 7pin cable to your hub and plug the 4pin pwm cable from your hub to your motherboard SYS_FAN header. this way, all fans argb effects can be controlled via L-Connect 3 Application, Your AL 120 V2 fans (PWM) can either use L-Connect 3 app or to sync with your motherboard fan curve. as why AL 140 V2 fan (PWM) connect goes directly to CPU_FAN, in the event if the uni controller fails, only the argb is affected but your 140mm fans are still running to cool the radiator.

I would love to have a Temperature display in the options, so that I could glance at one or more fans and see, oh red, the CPU is hot or Green or blue oh the GPU is cold. So until then I suppose that I stick with my SL140 fans.

Hi Julie Fisher, welcome back. I can't speak onbehalf of Lian Li but in general, in every product, those company who cares will make use of existing products and to enhance it. I see what you've in mind about the temperature with lights on the fans. I have submitting your suggestion to them. Hopefully it will be implimented.

@@KleoYan I know that you don't speak for them. But Lian Li obviously value your efforts and I am hoping that they will therefore read the comments. I would gladly speak directly with them, but I doubt that they would listen to little me.

How does these fan sound like at different rpm? Wanted to have some comparison against a12x25 for sound profile test
@KleoYan16 күн бұрын
Hi Jax Foo, welcome to my channel. these fans will be abit louder. If you enjoy the silentness of the A12 X25 from Noctua, you might not like these fans.

Thank you for the kind reply. Guess it is a no go then. Shall wait for the next gen a12x25, hopefully by Q1 2025

will the 140 fit the back of a 216 case?
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hi welcome to my channel. It will have a tight fit if you are referring to the AL140. I would suggest you to place a AL120 instead.
@lonrea2886 Жыл бұрын
@@KleoYan thank you for answering.. if the 140 will fit even if its tight i will go for it i guess.
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
@@lonrea2886 ok. Please note when I mentioned tight fit. You need to push these AL140 fans in and you might scratch the AL140 side frame. So do it carefully. All the best with your build

Is it possible to turn off side rgb ?
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hi ilia abbasi, welcome to my channel. you will need to go to the AL V2 Fan lightings, select the side frame, set an effect and set the brightness to zero, that will turn off the side led.

These fans are absolute shit. I bought 4 pieces AL140 V2 for installation in the lianli v3000 plus case. The motors of these fans emit an unbearable roar like transformers on Soviet stabilizers, even at 600 rpm, and the price has gone up. The entire budget was spent on lighting and fashionable connections, but they forgot about the main function. I'm not even talking about the screws that, after screwing in and unscrewing a few times, just start turning and don't press anything. Do they really have a hydraulic bearing and not a ball?

Hi Артем Акопян, welcome to my channel. Sorry to hear this from you. If you feel there is a must to correct the issues you are having, I would suggest you to post at Lian Li reddit, at least Lian Li personal will read what you've mentioned www.reddit.com/r/lianli/. Thank you for your valuable feedback.
