Eugene is a legend bringing back a polish solidarity song that became an angelic upstarts "also wrote"... Although the upstarts did tour the song a lot many years ago.

*Fantastic! This is what Solidarity is all about* I'm a Pole who grew up in Canada. Back in 1981, I joined a Solidarity support group. There was a Polish speaking group and an English one. I joined the latter and found that I was the first Pole to do so. Most of the other members were Ukrainians and Jews. That was a great group, some have become life-long friends. They turned me on to politics, the Plastic People of the Universe and various punk bands. Along with some of them I later became a fan of Gogol Bordello. So what a great treat to see them do such a great version of this song. I hope they record it and put it on an album. Thanks for sharing this.

I listen to this song, again, and it makes me cry. Life is a PRECIOUS THING! more valuable than all the money and riches in the universe. The Russians are empty, so wrong, so lied to, just so very wrong, to do this thing. They have already lost. This is why the WHOLE WORLD, of compassionate, thinking people side with, and back the oppressed. Do we not see what this evil propaganda, and LYING, by misguided statesmen do to populations?
