I watched the whole video. I've got a 1 year cavapoo that dreads grooming so badly and last time he had a sore ear, butt and paw. May have been someone new. Trying a new groomer this week. What an amazing job you did!!!!

@@GoGroomer Thank you so much Amy! I’ve been watching non-stop of your KZbin videos and you are such an inspiration. I started to get all the grooming needs I need for my friend’s puppy that I take care of during weekends. I’m kinda like the co-owner. She’s a Maltipoo name Coconut, her coat is white and she’s over a year old now. From watching your tutorials videos I’m learning a lot how to take care and maintain her coat. Cos I don’t want her to get matted anymore. On her last grooming her tail had to get shaved. I didn’t know back then that there’s tools I can use to de-matted her hair and use a conditioner. So when I watch your KZbin videos and found out what tools I needed. I bought the tools. I’m hoping I can learn to trim her hair. Once I get the trimmer and scissors I needed. Lol 😆 I wish one day I’ll meet you and hopefully you can groom Coconut. If ever one day you are here in California. I live in San Francisco!!! Come see us!!! LOL🙏🏻🙌🏻🤩 Ok thank you so much!!! I can’t wait for your new KZbin videos to come out and watch!💞

My dog hates combing of any kind on his legs or any combing that is strong enough to get the dead hair out. His hair is extremely curly. My solution is doing his whole body with scissors but that takes a while and looks bad sometimes. I take him to the groomer but sometimes the groomer cancels so I have to do it myself. The video was helpful thank you. My cavapoo is named Freddie but I mostly call him frog or fruit. I love him so much.

You are so skilled. You make it look easy to groom a dog, but I know it takes great skill and lots of experience. Problem is finding a really good experienced groomer. All of the good ones in my area are not accepting new clients. I have friends and neighbors who have been to a dozen different groomers just trying to find one who can do the job you do. A bad grooming cut is worse than no cut at all. My Cavapoo is 4 months, and I’m desperately trying to locate an experienced groomer who will accept new dogs. Had I known of this problem in advance, I may have adopted a breed that does not need professional grooming.

Amy, I just found/subscribed to your channel. My QUESTION is, have you done a video for puppy owners, that we can train our pups/dogs to be calm for a Groomer? I've been trying to desensitize my 4 month old Cavapoo to the sound of trimmers, having her stand while I touch her nails, and of course giving her baths & setting a warm blow drying far from us, but enough to blow her fur a little. I'd like to train her for a better experience for her & the Groomer, but I feel I'm hitting in the dark.

i have a 6 month old cavapoo i rescued, he was a surrender to the humane society because he was being abused and neglecting, they were hoarding animals, he had no vet care prior, and no grooming. I got him august 4th. I called the next day to get a grooming appt as he had mats and really needed a good clean. He did get his bottom cleaned when he was neutered at the vet while in the shelter for the 10 days between being picked up and when we got him but he really needed a good deep clean. I could not find a single doodle vet that could get us in before sept. 16th! thats the soonest i got. i got some conditioning mat spray, a de-matting tool, brushes, rakes, the silver comb you had, nail clippers, a dog grooming wahl clipper set i spent $160 on, a grooming arm for the table and a harness, and i wanted to groom him a bit myself because its summer and he couldnt even see his hair was so long. he cried like i never heard a dog cry before when i turned them on. i grabbed scissors to cut around his eyes, and he did the same thing. i think maybe they hurt him somehow trying to 'groom' him at home when he was with the people who abused him. I am a hairdresser by the way, so i am very familiar with matted hair and have the proper tools, etc. Yes dogs are different but i know the basics. I can't even get near him with clippers. i have been turning them on a few times a day and staying far from him so he gets used to the noise. but what else can i do to get him more comfortable? i am nervous the vet's groomer will not be able to do anything but maybe a bath for him and he really needs a good cut. I have been able to bath him and brush him out with the de-matting tool which has majorly helped though!

She looks so much like our Cavapoo Mia. Except Mia, at 6 months, is so much bigger! Mia has long legs which must be from the poodle in her. She also has big back “feet,” like a bunny rabbit! She doesn’t have a sweet, docile personality like Bella. We love Mia, but she’s nuts! She attacks the brush when I try to brush her! Our groomer did a beautiful job at Mia’s first groom. I must admit, I’ll be glad when Mia is more like 18 months old! EDIT: We’ll, she’s 18 months old. Bigger, but just as nutty! Still attacks the brush when I brush her; but, groomer says she’s a good girl. Sweet, loving little girl. This Bella was so incredibly well behaved, and Amy did such a beautiful job on her!
