I absolutely agree with Alex’s take on Gohan’s path because at the end of the day Gohan never wanted to be a fighter he was kinda forced into that life as a kid because of all the constant threats and had to get stronger because of it but when it was finally peaceful he got to live the life he wanted but of course he realizes that he needs to be able to defend his loved ones and peaceful life when new threats arrive P.S. I also think Goku doesn’t get enough credit for realizing Gohan isn’t the same as him since the cell arc, he really learned that Gohan isn’t like him there and doesn’t force that life onto him anymore, he just wants him to be happy and of course just be able to defend himself when push comes to shove, just goes to show that he is a good father even though we like to poke fun at the joke of him not being one, he isn’t perfect but he truly wants the best for Gohan

Pointing out that "we don't need twio Gokus," is very good. Too many people just want Gohan to go down the exact same route as Goku. That would me mundane. Regardless of this fact, overall, Gohan has been treated poorly in DBS, and literarily is a shell of a character he was in Z.

It does appear that in the few hours between Ep 88 and this fight fight, Gohan increased his power via meditation. Pre 88 Gohan would not have been able to increase it that much, but now that he got his Ultimate power back he’s got a better access to his potential powers to increase it big time.

Fun Fact: In the Japanese version Goku and Gohan were screaming ATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA when rapid punching and kicking at each other. Its kind of like FOTNS where the one who uses that battle cry is Kenshiro, and its just like the fact that they scream DADADADADADADADADADADADADADA when firing ki blasts.

This is one of my favorite episodes of Super. I love Gohan's temper in this,i love Piccolo screaming as he cheers Gohan to push further,i love Vegeta's Smile as he reacts on the sidelines as hes filled with Pride as sees the same potential Gohan had when he fought Cell,and i love Goku as he says "we might face the strongest Warriors in the Multiverse,but ive forgotten about you Gohan. The greatest challenge i could ever hope to face is my own Son!!" But Gohan's own words have stuck with me "im gonna achieve a Form no other sayian has ever reached. And im gonna do that by walking a different path " Gohan said im gonna be my own man and i cant help but relate to that

I have to point out something that i noticed... Earlier when Goku fought Buu and Buu used a trick and beat Goku...Now while fighting Gohan, Goku used that exact same technique against Gohan...Which shows Goku learns everything there is to learn in battlefield and apply during combat...That's a true marital artist right there,and that is why he is superior against all other anime/comic book characters...

For Goku to go Kai-o-ken SSB , he needs to fully powerup in Blue form first.

@@cringekiller348 no I would disagree. Remember, Toppo was about on par with Goku Blue and Vegeta Blue. Ultimate Gohan and 17 wasn't really doing much, if anything, to Toppo. Not to mention, when Ultimate Gohan let out a Super Kamehameha against Toppo, it didn't really do anything. Goku's Super Kamehameha actually wounded Toppo. Even during that Goku v Gohan fight, Goku was using ssj2 against Gohan's Ultimate form. The only reason Goku used Blue, then Kaioken, was because Gohan told him to not hold back. Granted, you could say that Gohan got stronger during the TOP, and yeah it's his thing, and and breaking through limits is a trait of the Saiyans/Hybrid Saiyans, but he wasn't on par with a Blue level opponent just yet. Again, not knocking him down, being ssj God level isn't a bad thing

The narrator did stat that Gohan showed power rivalling SSB Goku. So Gohan at the very least was above Super Saiyan God Goku. Gohan is overpowered
