I have a 2002 shadow 600 the carb is already jetted for straight pipes would I be safe to cut maybe 12 inches off the end and weld those angles on?

Did that header wrap have any discoloration after riding with it on? If not what brand is it?

I cannot remember the brand, it it stayed black for a long time. Even it it starts to discolor, pull the pipes and you can paint it with header wrap paint and they will look new again.

Love the hardtail struts instead of the stock shocks .Was it hard to put them on ? Did you have to raise the rear wheel ?

I got a ‘97 ace 1100 & I wanted to use a spirit 1100 duel pipe(one on each side) set up. Will it work because it’s the same Motor?

Sounds like carbs need a little tunin' but good shit man. I was curious if you could swap exhausts between all the 750s. Guess you can? lol. Lookin' forward to future videos.

+Gear1993Head xxx I just ordered new pilot jets. I tried to tune it out with just the air/fuel screw and it was not enough. So jet kit it is. This exhaust did not just bolt up. It took some "persuasion". 😂

Oh well thanks for letting me know because I was curious about getting a short shot exhaust for my spirit but they only make it for the aero's and ace's I believe. And i'd definitely go with a bigger main jet as well instead of just adding more fuel on the idle circuit.

Goheen Cycles oh I see... by the way what jet kit did you install ? I have the same pooping sound when I removed my baffles but I replace the stock air filter and replace it with air filter pods and also change the tank to a sportster one.

hello GC, i am planning to do the same thing as you! but i thought maybe, i should put something like a clapet or a valve to maintain the back pressure at the point where you cut the stock exhaust, and make the bike when i want loud or quiet. Have you ever tried something like this? Or have you ever thought anything to block a little bit the gas when it comes out ? thanks!

Thats a really good question. The 1100 exhaust is completely different. Im not sure that any of the 750 ace pipes will fit.

That was my concern as well. I've seen the inner break loose and hang out banging around. Guy had to throw away the pipes and buy new ones after all. Seen someone else tac their inner with cut pieces from cut off exhaust. His is still going great.

@@famous5906 Just as a heads up, the pipes are welded together in the back, just not attached to the bike at the bottom.

@@GoheenCycles I'm not sure what you mean. I'm referring to the 1" pipes inside the 2" pipes where you had cut the muffler off. If you don't tac them to the 2" with a piece of steel or aluminum, they vibrate loose and disconnect from the heads. We used a piece where we cut it off to tac inside.

You need to pull both carbs and install your jets. The front and rear use a different main. Depending on your current setup, with a stock air box you will need to go to a stage 2.

I have a 12' and would really like a wider rear tire an rim if possible but; SHAFT DRIVE! Anyone know of an aftermarket manf. that would have something that fits the 12' Shadow Spirit 750? How wide of a tire would fit the stock swing arm? Thanks for the exhaust idea!

Look up Phat Parts Outlet. Paul makes fat tire kits for the VTX which is also shaft drive. He may have a solution for you.

Shouldn't have bought a Shitdrive man.
